  1. Where?-not in My Nero>software downloads/updates, or on their main product download portal.
  2. Somebody already asked that question and nhui already answered it in this thread somewhere; he's busy with exams, school and so forth-his life. He said not to worry about it.
  3. nlite 1.4b integrates IE7.0.5730.13 and the three hotfixes perfectly; just finshed a fresh install and am typing this reply on it.
  4. "I plan on trying terabyte tonight and hope it works." I garanfreakin'tee ya' you will not be sorry....any concerns, email them and subscribe to their newsgroups in Outlook Express-directions on their website; both are awesome, prompt replies and help are the defacto standard with this outfit.
  5. Ya' I noticed that Acheron....losers; nero99 has posted this apparently...I can't see the admins allowing that post to stay...perhaps they wish to verify or something, to make sure, maybe; anyways this lite is a godsend for us who are not as literate in coding...just an excellent piece of work. It works absolutely flawlessly on my WinXP Pro SP2. Thanks so much..too bad Nero has taken away choice; this used to be, in my opinion, the standard, but, only your NeroLite has managed to continue that tradition and if you delve into Nero 8 then, and only then, will I buy it. Otherwise I'll continue to use your last Nero 7 masterpiece until Hell freezes over. I just cannot stand Nero anymore in it's unabridged form...and their support is completely and totally useless on any and every level; again, in Nero 6 days it used to be stellar; profit margin and feature inclusion pressure-"keep up with the Jones's"-now seems to rule Nero and there godawful bloat. Your site is nice, I like the color and simplicity.
  6. Go here and check the entire web page out thoroughly: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ I have been using Terabyte for 5 years and it is the answer to total happiness; there is a learning curve, but, support is stellar, it has a very small footprint-no fancy memory/resource hogging GUI; simple, fast, effective, accurate and inexpensive. This will do all that you want, however you want. Ensure you check out all their offerings completely-including the Linux Enterprise.....Email them for advice or direction...you will get an answer quickly and to the point.
  7. Thanks Acheron; the lite installed beautifully with absolutely no issues. I have no plans to uograde to Nero 8, but, have found no real viable alternatives-those you posted are nice, but, rough; I just cannot abide this bloat anymore so I will try to use your SDK; thanks a million.
  8. The man has more to do than this.
  9. no need, nlite will write all the appropriate values to all the correct files when integrating the Entries_Settings.ini file as a hotfix.
  10. create a new ini file and name it "Entries_Settings.ini" sans quotes in the following format below: ( of course, substitute all the reg values with yours). Finnally, run nlite>"Hotfixes, Addons and Update Packs", sans quotes, point nlite to the Entries_Settings.ini file you just created and integrate it; your reg tweaks are now part of, and the default for, your install. builddate=2007/06/27 description=Tweaks for nLite. language=English title=Tweaks version=1.0 website=http://www.nliteos.com/ [registry_addreg] HKCR,"*\shell",,0x10 HKCR,"*\shell\notepad.exe",,0,"Notepad" HKCR,"*\shell\notepad.exe\command",,0x20000,"""%11%\notepad.exe"" ""%%1""" HKCR,"*\shell\PaintDotNet.exe",,0,"Paint" HKCR,"*\shell\PaintDotNet.exe\command",,0x20000,"""D:\WindowsMediaTools\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe"" ""%%1""" HKCR,".cmd\ShellNew","NullFile",0 HKCR,".reg\ShellNew","NullFile",0 HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","InstallPath",0,"%11%" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Name0",0,"English (American)" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnorePrefixes0",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnoreSuffixes0",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Files0",0,"English.dct|American.dct" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","DataFormat0",0,"win1252" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Count",0x10001,02,00,00,00 HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Name1",0,"English (Canadian)" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnorePrefixes1",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnoreSuffixes1",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Files1",0,"English.dct|Canadian.dct" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","DataFormat1",0,"win1252" Also here: http://www.nliteos.com/addons/entries.html
  11. Go here:http://www.orban.com/plugin/ I've been using this to play all digital and analog music no matter from what/where; including Nero Digital music. It is only good for music, but, is small and compatable.
  12. Hey nhui, Just a small thing....; when slipstreaming RyanVM's 2.1.11 update pack and code's 2.1.12 addon-RyanVM is on hiatus to finish his schooling-nlite 1.4b mislabels Flash in txtsetup-this error found by code...-should be "Flash9d and FlashUtil9d" sans quotes. nlite labels them both as "c" preventing Flash from installing and registering the ocx at all. Other than that-for me anyways-nlite 1.4b works perfectly; absolutely awesome...thanks a bunch update Sept 10, 2007 nlite 1.4b install is corrupted slipstreaming RougeSpears's and code66536's latest releases; srcclient.dll, WMPenc.exe, framedyn.dll files not found; therefore, no group policy, user accounts or Internet Explorer. I've attached the ini's and some logs from a failed install-Failed.7z
  13. Go here: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ I've been using their products for 5 years and have never looked back; inexpensive, volume licensing, extremely good support, dedicated newsgroup and very accurate. You will not be disappointed.
  14. Thanks Acheron, works flawlessly XP Pro sp2; burns, erases, all DVD/CDROM +-RW I've thrown at it and ditto for labeling. Perfect!
  15. Ya', Vista is the big difference here; I still use XP Pro, will not be buying Vista 'till well after SP1 and, then, only the 64-bit Ultra edition, no more x86 next time I upgrade my OS.
  16. I've had no problem erasing, then, burning two DVD+RW's; I assume this error does not occur using the full version?
  17. The file download at http://www5.rapidupload.com/d.php?file=dl&filepath=48693 is the micro version-14.8mb, no lite version. It installs without error, plus it does all, burning, erasing etc. without incident, but, this is the Micro version. Thanks very much Major and Acheron for a great release.
  18. Find the attached REG2INF.40.CAB, download/extract it, right click the Reg2Inf.inf and click "Install" sans quotes to have REG2INF.40 in your right click Send To menu. This app was developed by n7Epsilon and I use an addon developed by ricktendo64 on RyanVM's forums to slipstream the app into XPSP2 install. Create a file named "Entries_Settings.ini" sans quotes; convert your .reg file to inf format using Reg2Inf.40, copy the resulting lines in the inf file to Entries_Settings.ini. Below is an example: [general] builddate=2007/06/27 description=Tweaks for nLite. language=English title=Tweaks version=1.0 website=http://www.nliteos.com/ [registry_addreg] HKCR,"*\shell",,0x10 HKCR,"*\shell\notepad.exe",,0,"Notepad" HKCR,"*\shell\notepad.exe\command",,0x20000,"""%11%\notepad.exe"" ""%%1""" HKCR,"*\shell\PaintDotNet.exe",,0,"Paint" HKCR,"*\shell\PaintDotNet.exe\command",,0x20000,"""D:\WindowsMediaTools\Paint.NET\PaintDotNet.exe"" ""%%1""" HKCR,".cmd\ShellNew","NullFile",0 HKCR,".reg\ShellNew","NullFile",0 HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","InstallPath",0,"%11%" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Name0",0,"English (American)" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnorePrefixes0",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnoreSuffixes0",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Files0",0,"English.dct|American.dct" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","DataFormat0",0,"win1252" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Count",0x10001,02,00,00,00 HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Name1",0,"English (Canadian)" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnorePrefixes1",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","IgnoreSuffixes1",0,";'" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","Files1",0,"English.dct|Canadian.dct" HKLM,"SOFTWARE\JGsoft\Dictionaries","DataFormat1",0,"win1252" Open nlite, navigate to your Entries_Settings.ini and install it under "Hotfixes, Addons and Update Packs"; nlite will, then, automatically enter the lines into nlite.inf to be applied during install. Special thanks goes to ricktendo64 for bringing this to my understanding; visit RyanVM's, n7Epsilon's and MSFN forums to view more info about the app and download the addon.
  19. Slipstreaming is the only way, currently; simple integration is not possible without serious modifications. nlite works perfectly everytime for me, but, have always had issues with the addons.
  20. Well, this is a nightmare; five DVD's later and I still do not have a proper install. Swinging from fatal HIVEDEF.INF errors, which I corrected, to, finally, a corrupted install were my account is not created, logging in to the admin acc't. The Entries_...ini is not working for me at all; I'm going to create an ISO as before and use the addon for my tweaks. Thanks for your help ricktendo64-much appreciated; I will play with the ini thing later-my patience right now is wearing thin.
  21. OK, I will try it. I tried to attach mine but it will not allow me to for some reason-already compiled after your last post-just did not know what to do with it. i'm in the process of making a new ISO and will do a fresh install in about 2 hours or so; will report back.
  22. I see, but, you cab this ini and put it where; how/when does nlite find the ini file and extract it to add to nlite.inf, then, recab the inf in I386? I've read the guide on nuhi's page-no mention.....
  23. So, one must make an addon, then, with this ini and the inf?; please excuse my ignorance, I am a noob to coding and am attempting to learn....going to take a while, not unable to learn, but, am just starting...............
  24. Hey ricktendo64, I currently use the RVM_UsersTweaks_Addon_0.1 from here: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4175. I'm not sure I understand what your ini does.
  25. I've added my tweaks to nlite.inf in the [CT] section because they are HKCU, cabbed it and placed it back in I386; am now going to try it, will report back in a few hours or so. ....did not work; my additional reg files were not written during install, only the nlite ones....
