Like This; $OEM$\$1\your installation folder\your command file and executables etc.>I386 $OEM$ is one folder, $1 is a subfolder of $OEM$, "your installation folder" sans quotes is a subfolder of $1 I386 is a separate folder on it's own. I will try next time I set up.

@ ironside I hear ya', but, I thought that was the whole idea behind having this ini file was to be able to customize that that is in it as you wish. I've tried everything I can think of to make the msiproperty work. The only parameter that works is the serial number, but, never from the ini file; only if I include it in the WinRar sfx archive setup command that I repacked with WinRar 3.61-registered; very frustrating!

The config file I posted was tried on both 7.2... and 7.5.1.1, the excludes work OK, but, nothing else.

I do not have Nero install unattended because I want the app on a different partition; I edited the config file, but, none of the customizations work. Wellll....not necessarily right now...maybe with the next release-beta. I've never had any success with nlite and msi ie: all the MSXML releases for example and etc. Also there is an omission of some sort in nlite's hotfix integration that makes MSupdate show one or two hotfixes as still required. Further, I've had problems with addon integration-RVM etc. and the shell tweaks do not work. RVM's update pack is the best root for me right now and nlite for the rest. But, then again, mileage varies.

You still need a key and it is free. There is a grace period between install and activation; ie: registering with a key-two weeks I believe, but, am not sure. This is what I got from MS; From: Microsoft [Microsoft@newsletters.microsoft.com] Sent: Thursday, September 07, 2006 2:35 AM To: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx......... Subject: Windows Vista Release Candidate 1 is Now Available Sign up for newsletters | Update your profile Thank you for participating in the Windows Vista Customer Preview Program. Customer feedback is an integral part of our development process and your continued support is very important to help us improve the overall quality of Windows Vista. This email is to inform you that the final major pre-release of Windows Vista - Release Candidate 1 (RC1) - is now available for download for CPP participants. Please use the links below to access the download site, and install this release as soon as possible. (If you ordered a DVD kit for Beta 2 you will receive a new DVD kit containing RC1 in approximately 2-4 weeks.) Important Information about Windows Vista RC1 . We remind you that RC1 is pre-release software and you should not run this on production or mission-critical PCs. Support will be limited to newsgroups, and you may have to do a clean install to move from this release to the final release of Windows Vista. . You may upgrade an existing installation of Windows Vista Beta 2 or Windows XP to this release. However you will have to do a clean install if you want to get back to a previous configuration. . Before upgrading from Beta 2 to RC1, please install any Critical Updates from Windows Update for Beta 2. Go to Start, All Programs, Windows Update, and click the "Check for Updates" button. . Please close any open applications before beginning an upgrade. During installation we recommend you have an active Internet connection and choose to "Go online to get the latest updates for installation." . Installing RC1 requires a valid Microsoft Product Key. You should use the same Product Key that was provided to you (and sent in email) when you registered for Beta 2 in June. For your convenience, your Product Key is included here: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.......... . Due to the size of the download we recommend you use the download manager provided as it will allow you to resume the download if your Internet connection is interrupted during the process. . As with Beta 2, the download for RC1 is an ISO file. After you complete the download you will need to burn a DVD to install RC1. For more information, including DVD-burning instructions, program information, and feedback links, please refer to the Customer Preview Program start page. . All my troubles in burning with Nero 7 seem to stem from NeroCheck.exe. I disabled it and deleted it from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib and have had no drive recognition or write verification errors since. All DVD+RW burned have been fully readable on several computers. Link Please

Installing .NET Framework 2.0 from SVCPACK
RickSteele replied to Pete_'s topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=59614 for this: Microsoft .NET Framework All-in-One to run all of the released DotNet including all hotfixes/updates from svcpack.inf; I am typing this on such an install -
Yes, all is correct this way. Well, after several days since fresh unnlited install all seems to be fairly good; all attempts to burn DVD data backups and iso's have been successful. There have been two isolated instances where the system did not recognize either drive briefly; insert duisc and drives just hung-has not recurred before or since....so go figure.

Automatic Partitioning for unattended installs
RickSteele replied to rsbennett00's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Which product and to do what? BootItNg to do any and all your partitioning/multi-boot chores, Image for DOS/Image for Windows to do any and all backup, image, diskcopy etc. Terabyte also has a BartPe plugin to work on the bootable disc. BING is fully customizable; ie: custom scripts etc. Email the author for more indepth at Terabyte's website; inexpensive but, powerful and accurate; well worth checking out anyways. -
Automatic Partitioning for unattended installs

Have you tried Terabyte? I've been using for 2 years now and it has operated flawlessly. http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/ -
These 2 LG GSA H10N DVD-RW's are brand new as are the cables; before these I owned a Plextor 716 a and an LG GSA 4637, nero 6 and 7 reported the same errors on all 4 drives-consistantly. So, I was using an nlited winXP pro SP2, I have just completed a fresh install without any driver integration or nlite customizations and already the setup seems better. I will know by tomorrow when I attempt a DVD+RW burn and report back; may be the way nlite is integrating the nforce4x16 drivers-1.01 final. Thanks for your reply-much appreciated.

Cannot burn DVD+/-RW's without getting write verification errors; I'm freeking out-with 3G worth of data requiring backup I have had to resort to multiple CD-RW's because this is all I can burn to with Nero 6 or 7 error free. I emailed Nero support 1 week ago and have not received any reply yet. Further, I used both Sony and Verbatim DVD+RW's, some brand new/never used; Nero reports errors, I fully erase the DVD+RW, attempt to reburn and system logs now report disc has bad blocks-all tallied about 30 discs!!!!!! I'm basically stumped.

Using nlite1.0f I get constant reboot after install. Tried safe mode but, that fails as mup.sys is loading and the system reboots. This does not occur using 1.0rc8 at all, or if I do not integrate any drivers with 1.0f. Further, tried recovery console to no avail; the constant reboot occurrs integrating either the 6.85, or 6.86 nforce4. I do not use any of boogy's packs-all is done manually by me with nlite. I believe this may be due to some keyboard language implementation the system does not like between 1.0rc8 and 1.0f.

Four Gigabyte Installation Source Barrier?
RickSteele replied to raskren's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Which Line 1?....I use EditPadPro as Notepad and both from the systems Line 1 and Notepad's line 1 the contents are identicle to the downsized version....I've attached my txtsetup.sif just for reference....this is from the DVD that failed. Simply replace makeiso with cdimage in the nlite folder and make the iso-nlite does not care what it uses. -
Four Gigabyte Installation Source Barrier?
RickSteele replied to raskren's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Abbey, Thanks, knew about this when backing up my downloaded Valve games to DVD's; I thought UDF is only necessary if one or more individual files are larger than 2G. Is this DVD bootable? -
Four Gigabyte Installation Source Barrier?
RickSteele replied to raskren's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I get the same thing with a 4.1G bootable DVD+RW. My iso's are created using nlite 1.0rc7 which, in turn, uses makeiso.exe. If I replace makeiso with cdimage the problem is gone and the DVD boots correctly but all DVD folder names are upper case and all of everything is dated 2002; including absolutely everything after install on the HDD's. Check this out-this page and a few prior-http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=51140&st=540
