  5. You have to be kidding! This is a great tool. No way a waste of time. Before SOF I had someone else make a MSI with all the themes and so on that I wanted, now with SOF I do it all myself.........very easy........ thanks again....... BD EDIT Never mind found out for myself...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which one? The "BoneDaddy Edition"? Yes this is really a great tool. Thanks again.
  6. You have to understand ALL the switches of a particular package, just like durex said. Not all installers have the same switches. InstallShield packages and Windows Installer packages are the trickies of all. Also, download USSF or PEiD. It helps a lot. When you become more familar with this, you will be able to tell the type of installer used by the software by just looking at it's icon, or running it once. Goodluck on your unattended journey.
  7. Yes DFX's silent registration is not that easy.
  8. No you're not lucky my friend. Based on the facts, ONLY 10% are left-handed. That means 90% are right-handed! That means left handed people are on the safe side.
  9. I thought they will release SP2a first.. Well, let's see. No one is really sure about this as of now.
  10. The "Serial Number" reg entry is a REG_BINARY. So install it on your system first, register it, then export reg entry.
  11. Hi. The /S (big S) should work. It's built with NSIS.
  12. Hi. As much as I want to help you, I don't have Office XP to try it out. On those tasks, all you need to do is understand the concept of shrinking the source and creating an sfx. Once you understand that, no guide is necessary and you should be able to make your own based on the knowledge you already have. Of course, Office XP and Office 2003 are not the same. So the procedures can be different. You can't perform the exact steps described on those two wonderful guides. Why don't you post your procedures here to other people who use Office XP (or people familiar with it) can help you?
  13. Hello duomenox I think I know a solution to your problem. If you do created your mst by following the guide here, you will notice that your serial number is not stored in the mst file. It is embeded with the administrative installation you created. Try running the original installation file with your mst instead of the admin installation files.
  14. Thanks for the confirmation.
  15. I tested the code, and it worked 100%. There are two possible reasons. 1. Maybe your switches are not correct. 2. Or your serial number is not valid. PowerDesk.msi /QB PIDKEY=PDP6-XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXX
  16. Because they want us to be their beta testers. They want us to buy their software and test it for them, then they will start fixing it.
  17. I figured out what the problem is. The installation stops because the serial number is not correct. You have to include the PDP6 part of the serial. This should work. PowerDesk.msi /qb PIDKEY=PDP6-XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXX
  18. That's strange.. Try using a different switch. PowerDesk.msi /qn PIDKEY=XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXX
  19. Dude, it uses InstallShield. [edit1] After checking the installer again, the setup is wrapped with an InstallShield wrapper for the DemoShield menu. But you don't really need it to install it silently. This is what you have to do. 1. Using WinRAR, extract the files of the original installer. You will see a folder named "Installs", and the DemoShield files. 2. Go the the "Installs" folder and you will see a Wise setup.exe. 3. Type %temp% to your "Run" command. If you have a lot of files there, delete them to avoid confusion. 4. Run the setup.exe in the "Installs" folder to extract the msi file inside. Wait for the welcome screen of the installaiton of PowerDesk. 5. Go back to your %temp% directory and you will see an msi file inside. In my case, it is "c0cd6.msi" 6. Copy that file to a different location and exit the setup. 7. Install it using the regular msi switches. 8. For the registration, use PIDKEY=XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXX Example: PowerDesk6.msi /qb!- PIDKEY=XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXX Please try it and post back the result.

  24. Hello orustom The link is working fine. I tested it just now. When you click the link, it will take you to the RapidShare's site. Scroll down and click the "Free" button. Then you will see a countdown timer. Just wait for it to finish, and the download link will appear. I'm sorry if the link is causing you trouble. I don't have my own site to host the file.
