  1. For some time now, your swan song to the UXP era can be read in each of your posts here. Very inspiring and helpful.
  2. I don't get an error in gkmedias.dll when calling up the qwant.com website in the most recent release of New Moon 28 from today.
  3. FYI, the Firefox command line option -purgecaches does not work with New Moon 28. When using it for starting this browser, the Browser Console reports that -purgecaches is an unrecognized command line flag.
  4. Has anyone here ever noticed that deleting the cache and then restarting in New Moon 28 (and other Firefox-based browsers) creates a subfolder trash##### in the profile folder cache2? This is automatically deleted approximately 1 minute after restarting. At least on my Windows XP machine. Note: ##### is a sequence of (usually four or five) digits.
  5. For testing purpose, I opened a small video with low resolution on Imgur. Nearly 100% CPU usage and tons of the same JavaScript error in the Web Console. One more bloated website and service which does not run bearably in New Moon 28 and Serpent 52 on Windows XP. Now, I know why I have always avoided this service, especially as an image hoster.
  6. I have spent the last few days testing Mypal 68.14.4b with heavy and resource-hungry websites and have come to the conclusion that old, heavily modified profiles with many extensions, userscripts and CSS stylesheets installed do not work well with sites such as eBay, Amazon or Discord. With a new, fresh profile, in which only the most necessary settings are made, these sites run much better.
  7. Here is a quotation from the OE Classic online help: The advantage of these open formats is that they can be easily read by other tools.
  8. Due to the certificate issues all 360Chrome browsers suffer from time and time again, I would suggest to try ProxHTTPSProxy TLS 1.3.
  9. Thanks for the confirmation! As I also observed, the login from the Outlook website works in New Moon 28 but the login from Microsoft website doesn't. And Serpent 52 fails in both cases. BTW, in Mypal 68.14.4b, the Microsoft login page works as it should.
  10. I can well imagine that. More than 50% of the world's population is male, and such porn websites are highly frequented. And once again you're completely wrong. I hate Microsoft. Especially for the restricted, disempowering and bloated (newer) operating systems, websites, programmes and services. One of the reasons why I use Windows XP, from a time when Microsoft still produced sensible things. Moreover, your beloved porn website is totally crap as you have to register first. Apart from that, such filthy websites should be discussed elsewhere and not here since there are of course underage members and, in addition, those who consider such pages to be offensive. And as I already said, I consider requests for members to register on such a questionable website to verify login problems to be highly dubious and a no-go.
  11. Just to report here a rather important and reputable website , I checked Microsoft's account login website in the most recent releases of New Moon 28 and Serpent 52. Unfortunately, I got an empty login window in New Moon 28, the same I got in Mailnews. And in Serpent 52, not even the login window could be called up. If calling up the login window from the Outlook website, I was able to login to my email account in New Moon 28.
  12. If I were to report every dirty website that doesn't run properly in UXP browsers, this thread would be completely littered. Apart from that, I consider requests for members to register on such a questionable website to verify login problems to be highly dubious and a no-go. I think rather important and reputable websites should be considered here.
  13. As far as a more up-to-date version of uBO is concerned, I'm with you although uBlock Origin Legacy still works fine. And a more up-to-date script manager would also be great. YouTube works great with VORAPIS V3. And you don't have to open every piece of crap with the UXP browsers. That's what tablets and smartphones are for.
  14. All mailboxes and messages are stored in the folder C:\Documents & Settings\YourUsername\Local Settings\Application Data\OEClassic\User\Main Identity\ in the form of db files.
  15. Legacy extensions and the mighty but underestimated custom buttons for UXP browsers are able to do many things that webextensions are not allowed to do. That's why I love them. I see them as a way of customising the browser to the user's preferences. Their tasks are many and varied, and accessing web content is just one of them, albeit an important one. But they can do much more. And new ones are still being developed. There are so many of them that you can always find something useful that still works. Or you try to bring them back to life. That's why I created this thread.
  16. Here is a quotation from OE Classic's homepage: When I get back to my desktop computer, I'll check where the mailboxes and messages are stored. BTW, for a long time the following applies: Hotmail account = Outlook account = Microsoft account. To put it more simply: all of this is ultimately Microsoft.
  17. FYI, it's not really a trial version but a free version limited to two email accounts only with the lack of some features of the pro version.
  18. OE Classic has been registered in my Microsoft account as the email app OE Classic. So, I don't think they used a 'borrowed' token but their own one.
  19. I used it in the past. But frankly, 7-Zip is for the omni.ja files enough. There is no real need to keep the original compression as far as I could see. Especially when it comes to temporary fixes of the omni.ja file.
  20. Read your statement, and you will see it does not make sense! Intentionally or not. Anyway! I used 7-Zip but in a different way. I opened omni.ja with 7-Zip and copied all files in a subfolder which I named omni. Then I repacked all files with 7-Zip, too. Works great here. So it doesn't matter whether you use WinRAR or 7-Zip. The file cannot simply change location by itself P.S.: Don't forger I am not only a mathematician, but also a philologist! That means I am a friend of the word.
  21. You are looking for the wrong code as it is the already fixed one. And TBH, you can't find anything that is not there yet. You have to look for the still existing, faulty code: browser.webNavigation.stop(nsIWebNavigation.STOP_ALL); It is in the line 2652 of the file tabbrowser.xml in the folder chrome\browser\content\browser\ of Serpent's omni.ja file. Serpent 52 suffers from the same issue as New Moon 28 which will be fixed in the next release. But you can fix it yourself temporarily.
  22. Personally, I hope @roytam1 will be able one day to successfully implement a working OAuth2 mechanism in Mailnews. At the moment, I use the free version of OE Classic only for my basic Hotmail/Outlook account. TBH, I haven't expected that Microsoft/Hotmail/Outlook accounts could really be accessed any longer by an email client under Windows XP since last month. Now, I am able again to access my personal Microsoft/Hotmail/Outlook account in a very fast way under Windows XP as it has been before with Mailnews instead of getting upset about a terrible web interface.
  23. Just like last time, I have listed your Dutch Language Pack in my Alphabetical list of all posted extensions.
