Thanks for the suggestions Assymetry But unfortunately this is not the problem i added the two folders as you told me but nothing...still is not installing over an old XP installation.. And as far as i remember those two folders are for upgrading..through win98.. **** it guys..i really can't figyre it out..

Yes those folders are delleted..but they where also on my previous version..which was working ok..

Hi guys !! after a lot of hours of reading i finally got my unattended to work great with driverpacks..with wpi etc etc.. but one day i reallized that i if want to install windows OVER the existing installation ..without formating the hard drive..my cd creates a folder WINDOWS.0 for my new windows...and in boot.ini there are 2 versions of windows..i can't understand why is this happening.. my previous unatended cd version was working properly .. any help would be appreciated Greetings

Hello guys.. i have a pc and a laptop and they are both connected on a switch. The pc has windows pro and the laptop has Home edition windows. I get a strange problem when i try to access from local network my laptop. The error message says "Logon failure. Τhe user has not granted the requested logon type at this computer." I have everything shared as it should be, none of the computers has a firewall software installed. Also i can normaly access from the laptop the Pro machine. Ping works from both of them normaly.. also i tried to enable guest account on both of them bus still it's not working.. Any ideas ? cause i really don't what is going wrong :wacko:

As in the topic.. I have a really strange problem with wmp10.. Nothing seems to be working..music plays ok but i can't skip the tracks..can't press the stop button..i can't even press the close X button on the skin...Also when i take the progress bar to a later point of the track it get's back to the beggining.. Tried to uninstall/install..tried older versions but the problem still is there.. It seems that there is something wrong with the skin of wmp10.. but even if i change skins i still can;t use progress bar or the buttons.. Many thanks in advance..

well it's a program called l2player and it is a launcher of the Game called Lineage2 on some private servers..it is used on private servers to avoid hacking and exploits and thins like that.. I used to play the game normalny but since yesterday there was an update with this file and now it's impossible to play

Hi guys.. YOu should know for the begging that this place ( this forum) is the most expert forum on the web regarding Microsoft's O.S.. YOu are my final chance to make something work )) So i run a file and i get this error The psapi.dll file is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:NtAllocateVirtualMemory THis program is inteded to run only under 2000/XP etc.. How do you think is it possible to make it run under win98 ? i got the file copied from winxp but it didn;t work. Guys please i need your help Thanks in advance

First of all conglatulations guys for you excellent work here !! My problem sound's like this..i am making an unattended dvd..(i allready have one made about a year ago,which works great !! but times have passed so it's time to make a new one ) and now i want to intergrate also those high definition audio hotfix from microsoft.. I found these RYANVM pack which is really great..but as i intergrated it using nlite after the install i saw that everything in the windows was changed..i mean the language i use GREEK win xp greek sp2 etc etc.. and after the testing my windows was half greek half english . I suppose the ryanvm pack is language depended, so i can;t use the ryanpack and i have to install the hotfixes using nlite. My problem is that when i put the hotfixes in the nlite it sais that the hotfix cannot be intergrated !! Any suggestions ? I would appreciate any help !! i was thinking this, but also, "nah that's too obvious" mitsubishi is right, a lot of the time you need to refresh (F5) "My Computer" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Heh it's nothing really serious..but i am so stuborn that i must with your help figure it out !!! I would like to say that i can;t close the sessions..the cd has to be open.. As you suggested above i refreshed the my computer view..by pressing the button for more than 2 minutes and insert the cd in.. **** it.. still the same..Says the cd is empty.. If i restart it's ok .. Maybe it is a nero problem ..i don;t know how nero can affect the windows but..maybe ?? How this can happen on 3 different pc's with different hardware but win98 installed.. So maybe there is a fix for this ? any updates ?? Many thanks for you help guys !!

Exactly nero pops out the cd...i pop it in..and nothing seems to be written on the cd ....unless i restart ..when everything seems ok

Hi guys i have a weird problem .. I have 2 Cd recorders fully working and one dvd recorder on 3 pcs I use nero to write cd's and dvd's and my operating system is win98 patched with tha amazing service pack and the GREAT usb mass storage device support provided by the guys from the forum.. Now my problem sounds like this.When i write a cd in nero and it is burned..when nero says that the cd is written..i can;t see the contains od the cd on my computer..Only if i restart my pc i can view what i have written on the cd..those cd's are multisession by the way.. If i take the newly written cd to another pc with 98 it works ok.. but on the pc that iwrote it i can't with it's contents unless i restart.. Any help guys ? any ideas...?? it's a littel it anoying you know Thanks in advance

Is it possible to use an usb devices support like winxp in win98 ?? For example...i plug in a digital camera and it's being recognized as a removable disk without drivers..Just like winxp )))..So can anyone help me with this one ??? Thanks in advance guys

ohhh and i whould like to say that i 've allready tried the Net Usder method...but it's not working ... i don't know where is the problem...
