Bâshrat the Sneaky, remove this from storage pack: intel\eide windows default driver is much better than this one + it has dma enabled by defaul and this one can't enable dma without an additional application, so it' 10 times slower. who want's it then?!

Unattended installation with "normal" XP PRO/Home
buletov replied to Luk4S's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
the only difference between "DefaultHide" and "Full Unattended" in this case would be that "Full Unattended" would present you an addidtiona error nag. everything else would be the same (in this case). -

BSPlayer and XP Autoplay Video Files - SOLVED!
buletov replied to buletov's topic in Application Installs
uhm, here's a pic how it looks if you don't know what i'm talking about: -
Ok, I've finally come with a successful way to have a working Windows XP autoplay "play using BSPlayer" method. (we all know that BSPlayer, unlike Winamp, doesn't do anything if you provide it a driveletter as a command line argument, the famous %L variable). So here's what you have to do: 1. Install bsplayer exactly like this (but replace bspath with your own path): start /wait bspath\bsplayer100.812.exe /S /D=C:\Progra~1\BSPlayer >nul (This is actually a silent install, but it is only important that BSPlayer is installed in C:\Program Files\BSPlayer) 2. Download this completely silent rar sfx archive... COMPLETELY SILENT SFX ARCHIVE (1.20MB) 3. ...and run it simply like this (replace bspath with your own path): start /wait bspath\bst-autoplay.exe >nul 4. apply these registry settings: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Bspl.Play\Shell\play] @="&Play" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Bspl.Play\Shell\play\Command] @="\"C:\\Program Files\\BSPlayer\\bst-briss.exe\" %L" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\EventHandlersDefaultSelection] "PlayVideoFilesOnArrival"="BRiSsPlayBS" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\EventHandlers\PlayVideoFilesOnArrival] "BRiSsPlayBS"="" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers\BRiSsPlayBS] "Action"="Play" "Provider"="BSPlayer" "InvokeProgID"="Bspl.Play" "InvokeVerb"="play" "DefaultIcon"=hex(2):25,00,50,00,72,00,6f,00,67,00,72,00,61,00,6d,00,46,00,69,\ 00,6c,00,65,00,73,00,25,00,5c,00,42,00,53,00,50,00,6c,00,61,00,79,00,65,00,\ 72,00,5c,00,62,00,73,00,70,00,6c,00,61,00,79,00,65,00,72,00,2e,00,65,00,78,\ 00,65,00,2c,00,30,00,00,00 And that's it! Now take some divx movie and test it by inserting the CD in any drive! You can do the testing without reinstalling Windows, ofcourse...

buletov replied to BlueFlame's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
uhh, it surely doesn't have to do anything with bios. at which point od the setup do you apply them BlueFlame? -
thumbs up for sp2!
-
and your question is?
-
Refthoom, you could be of a great help to Bâshrat the Sneaky in testing his driver packs...in your spare time, ofcourse...
-
the best is to simply use standard drivers intehrated in xp; they work and they work great.
-
there's no reason for the compatibility mode just run the gtados.bat from your gta folder (after you extract dgvoodoo to your windows folder), configure soundcard options, select 3dfx mode and you're good to go! the thing is that this way you have 3D acceleration on!

question about winntbbu.dll
buletov replied to Dark Sim 905's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
You did notice the: "Windows XP home edition is good for your games..... blah-blah" 'Windows XP Professional is the best choice for your business..... blah-blah" (just an example of what text is varying from one to the other - there's more screens that vary as well). i know that but i though that winntbbu.dll is the same on the both home and pro so if on home it shows home messages, you take it an place it on the pro cd, it will show pro messages without any modification... or...? -
and the MAIN reason everyone started making unattendeds if actualy to avoid typing in the serial over and over again.

question about winntbbu.dll
buletov replied to Dark Sim 905's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@Dark Sim 905: you're obivously using pirated windows. the microsoft wrath shall come upon you soon! @prathapml: are you positive about that (text)? -
you could try, but it's not recommended. if you have two drives, backup your data on one and do the clean install. it will make your life easier. and just before you do, note your hardware in a device manager and write it down somewhere. to ease the drivers installation...

1. partitoning is the safest to be done manually. it takes one minute of your life to wait for the partitiong screen, and an additional 5 seconds to confirm the installation on desired partiton. this is a partial winnt.sif file that achieves that: [Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" AutomaticUpdates=yes [Unattended] UnattendMode=DefaultHide WaitForReboot="No" OemPreinstall=Yes TargetPath=\WINDOWS Repartition=No OemSkipEula=Yes FileSystem=* DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore 2. for the drivers: 1-yes, 2-yes, 3-yes, 4-whatever

this is msfn, aka microsoft software forum network. and you know the microsoft's opinion on an open source software. there are many distributions on linux, you should try linux dedicated websites for that.

did you know that you could play gta1 in 3dfx mode with a glide wrapper ony any directx7 card? try here: http://dege.fw.hu

@mazin: yes, and mcdonald's is the only good food there is, right? just because it's known all around wolrd doesn't meant it's the best. avast home for example, is a free antivirus is dating form the 1988, and that's about 15 years of experience...not so sudden, huh? but the marketing campaign is always a misleader. here's a fact: norton slows down your computer more that twice than most other, more quality software does, and it's update system is one of the slowest. you could try the software before you condemn it. i tried norton before i spoke.
