  1. Hi @ all Every "modern" keyborad has it own functional keys.. they might by nice to have if they were working, all of them! I have a logitech ultra X Keyboard with 6 extra buttons. Does anyone know how to "hack" them with custom bindings.
  2. So does someone have a solution for this problem? One other thing to would be to change the msn search to google, is it possible? On bouth tried quick registery searching with no result. At least one trick would be to replace iexplore.exe with a "shortcutprogram" that would launch firefox.exe. This would be a general solution for all our problems. (and still iexplore would be accessable by running the renamed original iexplore.exe
  3. Hello! Does someone know how to get rid of the popup when removing usb portable drives or other usb device eg. digital camera? Of cource it would not come if I spent some additional clicks via the taskbar but its too "difficult" for daily usage. I did some research with google and found these: How To Avoid Unsafe Removal Dialog Box and this post How do you apply them? Also tried to look in gpedit.msc but didnt find anything that would solve this problem.. Those links are for driver development, i think. Someone how can modify windows usb driver to support that? Or provide some other drivers with "hotswap" enabled?
  4. I think this only works with DirectX games. For example the old HL-engine works better with OpenGL. And is there a way to do the dxdiag trick unattended?
  5. Sorry, the problem only occurs in games. OpenGL games run only at the rate of 60hz and in directX games with good luck at 75hz.
  6. Does someone have a solution for the XP and 2000 refreshrate problem in the unattended way? Of cource its possible to fix this after the install with Powerstrip, RefreshForce or RefreshLock. But unfortunately it takes some extra pain..
  7. No, if your system is on c: and the important documents etc. are on d: for example. Just be carefull when selecting the drive you install the OS on.
  8. ...and BTW msconfig do also work in windows 2000 if copyed to system32 folder from eg windows xp
  9. set the path to "net start servicename" and for stoping a service "net stop servicename" the service name can be foud from services.msc and look for the options of the service you want to control. eg. kerio 2.15 is named PersFW
  10. Is it possible to slipstream patches/updates and IE 6 into Windows 98 SE? If it is possible so could you tell me the switches and stuff?
