  1. Can you give the direct link to the uxtheme.dl_ file you downloaded, as well as the forum link it was linked from? And also what version of Windows XP - RTM, SP1, or SP2?
  2. Get SP2 final if you don't want the 180 day limit
  3. Export everything in these keys: [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.nfo] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\****.NFO.Viewer.File] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\****\**** NFO Viewer] Merge them all in one reg file. Copy **** NFO Viewer from Program Files to C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$Progs\ and execute the reg file somewhere in your unattended setup The only prompt you get when you try to open an nfo file is the viewer asking to be the default viewer.
  4. Haven't you given Doom 3 a chance by playing it a bit more? I was also the same as you when I didn't like the darkness for the first few levels, but it gets better later on with brighter areas. You can also get a mod that will tape the flashlight onto your weapons
  5. I believe you can run the AU service, and still disable it via the AU options, thus the service won't be disabled.
  6. That can be blamed on the Visual Style you're using. If you change back to classic or Luna you'll find that Add/Remove will work properly again. Try contacting the author of the visual style you're using and tell him to fix it.
  7. They're both the same
  8. big poppa pump has confirmed it doesn't work
  9. Taskkill may have executed too early and didn't find the running process. I can only suggest giving a pause of 10 seconds or so using sleep.exe
  10. You could probably extract the new lusetup.exe and dump all its extracted files into \CommonAppData\Symantec\LiveUpdate\LuMMInst. But I think I would prefer the silent install option.
  11. Moved to Unattended Windows forum, this is not nLite related
  12. Its KB817787.exe doing this. This is mentioned in: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=8741
  13. OemSkipWelcome should be in [GuiUnattended]
  14. Use this if you want to update SP2 without being connected to the Internet, otherwise wait for the Express installer to appear on the Windows Update site
  15. No double posts. Threads merged and caps removed from topic
  16. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en
  17. Its usually the term given to windows updates that were released before SP2 came out.
  18. Yep there is: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techi.../wntipcfg-o.asp
  19. hmm.. open your regtweaks file and check if there is an entry that disables the Automatic Updates service. This could be the culprit.
  20. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/runonceex.htm follow Getting Started, and put RunOnceEx.cmd in the same folder, that's all you need to do.
  21. Excellent app! Will add this to the RunOnceEx guides
