  1. For people in the UK that want to buy an OEM copy (legal) - www.overclockers.co.uk http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Onl...oftware_33.html
  2. For Windows 9x (non-recovery console) FDisk /MBR
  3. sleepnmojo: That might be a joke.. ? But if it's not then why do you stay? I mean if I hated what I do I would simply leave. One of the best aspects of being an admin is that it varies so much, if you don't like dealing directly with users then don't - find a job where you don't need it.
  4. Just so you know.. I downloaded one (zip format), found a binary (exe) in it and closed it and left the site. Sound like you convered some interesting topics shame I can't enjoy any of them.
  5. Here is an idea.. why don't you tell us what a *.Sif is, what it holds and what format it is in. It is clear that you haven't done any homework and want a ParseSif() function or something!
  6. Nullsoft (of WinAmp fame) have released one called 'Safe Sex' http://www.nullsoft.com/free/safesex/
  7. REGEDIT4 works on *both* NT + 9x, 'Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00' only works on XP / 2K. So I opt to use REGEDIT4
  8. For those that auto-install MSN Messenger, I have written this registry tweak which stops it from setting 'Open Messenger main Window when messenger starts' on by default. Turn off 'show Main Window' REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger] "AppSettings"=hex:08,93,01,80 Turn on 'show main window' REGEDIT4 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger] "AppSettings"=hex:28,93,01,80
  9. Aaron, thanks man! Works now like I expected it to.
  10. The blind leading the blind hmm interesting concept
  11. I have serious problems following that tutorial.. It provides the minimal amount of information and doesn't try and help the reader understand using timelines or anything like that.
  12. I am having a small problem with my installation, I have created a unattended script, in theory all it should be asking you about is your CD key + Partitions but annoyingly the 'Welcome to Windows XP setup' pops up each time. I have both: UnattendSwitch="yes" OemSkipWelcome=1 I have supplied the WinNT.sif file if anyone is kind enough to take a look. On a even less important note, I did the registry tweak listed to remove the tour bubble but is there a way to remove the SysTray icon? Thanks in advance winnt.sif
