  1. What problems? All you have to make sure is check that WININET.DLL is version 6.0.2800.1405. But you haven't replied yet in the other thread. If its not, then Q831167.exe should be installed after Q832894.exe. Windows Update may not say you need anything, because the hotfix imports registry entries during the installation, which WU depends on for checking if they're installed, it doesn't check the files itself. So WU can be wrong sometimes.
  2. No double posting Threads merged
  3. Attach a copy of winnt.sif, RunOnceEx.cmd and cmdlines.txt
  4. As long as it doesn't contain MSFN in the URL...
  5. If you really wanted to execute RunOnceEx.cmd from [GuiRunOnce], you can add rundll32.exe iernonce.dll,RunOnceExProcess to the very bottom of the cmd file, so the RunOnceEx window is launched straight after.
  6. I don't think this has anything to do with OOBE. A quick search on google with "long loading mup.sys Windows XP" brings up some links. I only quickly skimmed through a couple and it seems to be a hardware-related issue.
  7. http://unattended.msfn.org/files/DX9NTopk.rar
  8. Didn't Housecall specify which file was infected with the BKDR IRC Flood virus? It should do. Symantec doesn't detect this virus as its not in the Virus definitions list, so I wouldn't bother (NAV is terrible anyway). I'd suggest removing mIRC completely and the shortcut along with it. And then reinstall. The virus infects mIRC making you a potential DDOS victim to ping and SYN Flood someone else as part of a botnet. (If you've seen strange bandwidth throughputs recently, this explains why).
  9. No double posting on MSFN, continue at the first thread here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=17933 Thread Closed
  10. Deja Vu? http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=14929
  11. FastFolders might be what you want. It doesn't allow you to add your own items, but it gives a context menu of all your drives, with sub menus to all folders.
  12. %PROGRAMFILES% has to be surrounded in quotes as suggested earlier in this thread even though it doesn't have spaces. But, the environment variable resolves into X:\Program Files, which does have spaces.
  13. You should still be able to run regtweaks, what trouble are you having?
  14. Is it just antivirus homepages you can't access? This is blamed on a virus blocking access to these sites, so your machine is probably infected.
  15. If its done correctly, WININET.DLL should be version 6.0.2800.1405
  16. a skinned Logoff/Restart/Shutdown window
  17. Wrong forum bonedaddy? CD-RW lifetimes are a bit offtopic for Unattended Installations of Windows...
  18. When its set as No it won't copy over. But launching the .cmd file from cmdlines.txt looks for the $OEM$ folder on the CD, no matter what driver letter it has, then copies over everything in it to the hard disk (just as OemPreinstall=yes would do)
  19. No start wait needed. Just: sleep.exe 5
  20. Yes, use the "Other" option. Moved to Software Hangout
  21. To fix the logon problem, add UnattendSwitch=Yes to [unattended]. Your display problems are because Windows thinks it can't support 1024x768. This is most likely a graphics driver issue.
  22. No, recreate one using Windows Server 2003's copy of setupmgr.exe from the deploy.cab file on the CD.
  23. That's a bit extreme, a DDOS attack on your site isn't your fault.
  24. Remove: SystemLocale=00000809 UserLocale=00000809 InputLocale=0809:00000809 and only use: Language=00000809
  25. If it was illegal it would be reported. But Spheris says it isn't illegal to host the OPKs. DDOS attacks are carried out by jealous people. MSFN was DDOS'ed today too, and we're not denying that.
