  1. Hi, since i dont know where to really post this topic i've put it here....I am making a dvd with several games on it, when the dvd autoruns my menu comes asking me whick games would i like to install(easy enough)....The problem is one of my games(starfleet command 2) is a 2 disc installation...How can i combine the 2 discs together so i bypass the "Insert disc 2" prompt? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hi, was wondering if anyone knew how to take a game (starfleet command 2 in this case)that has 2 discs to install it and make it into 1 disc (a dvd) so that when i install from the 1(dvd)disc it does not ask me to "Insert disc 2".... Any help would be greatly appreicated.... Also i am aware that some games need the cd in the drive to play however in this case i have no-cd patches for them.
  3. i found a workaround using AutoIt script which i have posted under.... "Can AutoIt fill in user input" in the application switch forum. Hope this helps someone
  4. oops.... where it says: send,None the None designates your organization, so put what ever you want also at the... send,{del 8} this is just clearing whatever may be in the field already so if your organization name is more than 8 characters then just change the 8 to 20 or whatever
  5. Zoster, thank you so much... iv'e been struggling with trying to install Msworks unattended for days now...and for anyone who needs the script i used to install MsWorks 4.5 here it is...just covert it to a .exe and place it the Msworks folder and have your guirunonce say something like echo echo installing MsWorks 4.5 start /wait %systemdrive%\Install\Applications\MsWorks\(the name of your AutoIt).exe echo Installation Complete! the script..... Run,Setup.exe WinWait,Microsoft Works 4.5 Setup send,{enter} send,{del 8} send,xxxxxx (x's=your name) send,{tab} send,{del 8} send,None send,{enter 2} send,XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (x's where the activation code is..no spaces) send,{enter 2} sleep,5000 send,{enter} sleep,5000 send,{enter} sleep,2000 send,{enter} sleep,50000 send,{enter}
  6. Also, when i get into word and go to help\activate, its says this product has already been activated.
  7. My fault mazin....I did mean the activation code... ie XXXXX-oem-XXXXXX-XXXXX.
  8. I'm still trying to install MsWorks 4.5 unattended without any luck so i took a look at AutoIt....I was able to write a script that when I type msworks setup.exe at the command prompt the first setup window appears, ie..C:\xpcd\$oem$\$1\install\applications\msworks\setup.exe.....then i can click on my AutoIt exe file i made (on my desktop) and it will fill in all the info and install msworks fine....The problem is I cant seem to this without first starting msworks setup.exe first then clicking on my AutoIt exe...Is it possible to make them work together via a batch file or something? Or am i going about this completely wrong?
  9. acutally i was wrong, a screen pops up and asks me to click "install" or "Exit" is there a enry in the setup.ini file i can use to bypass this? setup.ini: ; web downloading upgrade package drivers [installOption] ; WebSetup=0 for customers, 1 for downloading, 2 for single driver installation WebSetup=1 ; FullPackage=0 for web upgrade version, 1 for full package drivers FullPackage=0 ; DriverOnly=1 means install drivers only, 0 means install both APs and drivers. DriverOnly=1 ; InstallWDMDriver=0 means install VxD driver, 1 means install WDM driver InstallWDMDriver=1 bLINEINasREAR=0 bLINEINasBASS=0 bMICasBASS=0 bMidi=0 bGamePort=0
  10. Sorry for all the new posts but when i try to install the C-Media drivers it starts installing them but stops and a window pops up asking me to to select how i want to configure my audio outputs. How can i bypass this without any user interaction? here is how i tried doing this: ECHO. ECHO Installing CMedia Audio Drivers ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\audio\setup.exe /s /sms ECHO Installation Complete! here is my setup.iss file: [installShield Silent] Version=v6.00.000 File=Response File [File Transfer] OverwrittenReadOnly=NoToAll [{9A3EABC0-CA06-11D4-BF77-00104B130C19}-DlgOrder] Dlg0={9A3EABC0-CA06-11D4-BF77-00104B130C19}-SdWelcome-0 Count=2 Dlg1={9A3EABC0-CA06-11D4-BF77-00104B130C19}-SprintfBox-0 [{9A3EABC0-CA06-11D4-BF77-00104B130C19}-SdWelcome-0] Result=1 [{9A3EABC0-CA06-11D4-BF77-00104B130C19}-SprintfBox-0] Result=6 any thoughts?
  11. I'll try it out and let you know. Thanks alot for your reply
  12. dang, i didnt even think of that. thanks aaronxp. Does that install the program on my computer though. i dont want 2 of the same programs on there?
  13. i got office xp 2003 to load into my unattended xp install, however when i check it with virtual pc and go to run msword it asks me for my serial number (which i do have). Since i do not have officeXP on a CD i cannot make a administrative install via the resource manager. Is there still a way to bypass this with a reg entry? if not its not that bad to enter my SN# afterwards. I'm just trying to get this cd totally unattended. thanks
  14. i'm new at this unattended xp install stuff, i have however been able to get a working unattended xp disc with officexp, its adding all my programs im having trouble with. I have followed the msfn guide but there are still programs i cannot get to load (i'm using the virtual pc to test first and am getting soooo tired of waiting to see if each change i make works). these are the programs i would like to load and would love it if anyone knew the corrrect switches for them: MsWorks (do i need a answer sheet for this one? and if so how) Photoshop 7.0 (i read the post in here but still cant seem to get it) Nvidia drivers (i tried putting this into my application folder and using like: ECHO. ECHO Installing Nvidia Drivers ECHO Please wait... start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Nvidia\setup.exe /s ECHO Installation Complete! but that didnt work). i tried the same method for my epson scanner driver, needless to say that didnt work either. any input would be greatly appreciated. and thanks in advance for your patience with a newbie.
