  1. Disabling the welcome screen would do that, but if you want to leave the Welcome Screen enabled... then I don't have a solution.
  2. Thanks for your feedback. Fixed.
  3. Check the permissions of the folders, and edit as according to the permissions access of your user account. Then try out the steps as MSNwar described above.
  4. I use the large cannister of pressurised air from me dad's work van, outside of course
  5. Go into safe mode, place those folders elsewhere for now, and go back into normal mode for a couple of days. If nothing's wrong, then those folders should be safe to delete

    Pop-up's

Excellent ad-blocking software Miek, but didn't go well with my Kerio firewall (BSOD, BSOD and etc ) So, while waiting for a fix, I've stuck to using Ad Muncher, its very similar to the way Proxo works. http://www.admuncher.com

    RegCleaner

One of the best regcleaners around...
  13. Which OS? Screenshots to be more specific? If you're talking about the Default Gateway fieldbox, that's always been there.
  14. Nice idea Crispy There's also an app that logs your keystrokes to an internet server, in the event that a thief goes online and types out words that could point to where he lives, names etc. So you can check online to see what's been typed from your stolen PC/Laptop. I don't have the site URL at hand I'm afraid, I didn't quite trust cos I had the assumption it was probably spyware that could log my passwords etc.
  15. Make sure the document is closed before trying to attach/send a file. Most file transfer problems occur due to MS Office documents being open.

    CDCheck

I've been using this software for more than a year now, comes in very handy for checking CDs/ISOs for any data corruption!
  17. When you're working as a barman do you give out placards with "Visit ClubbersUK.net!"on them, heh I bet you do
  18. Only just found this and posted it: http://www.msfn.org/comments.php?catid=1&id=2118 Should prove to be useful in speeding up XP by a large margin.
  19. Yep, we posted this on frontpage earlier
  20. Yeah, its because people just want to have the "latest" MS OS
  21. I'm looking forward to getting a house with a couple of my friends this summer, and then set up a wireless network and use my laptop outside while basking in the sun
  22. Thanks Dave, this will come in handy!
  23. Any side effects to this for a home computer connected to a LAN?
