  1. I hope you did not totally destroy your HDD with that stunt. Definitely NOT recommended!!! Are you sure you properly connected your hdd again before typing "U"? Did you properly tighten the screws to ensure good contact?
  2. See if this helps http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=de&sl=en&u=http://www.mapleleafmountain.com/seagatebrick.html&ei=82RhTaumGpKn8QP5h71Z&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CBwQ7gEwAA&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmapleleaf%2Bmountain%2Bseagate%2Bbrick%26hl%3Dde%26site%3Dwebhp%26prmd%3Divns You can also use Google Translate to translate the first post, Read-me-First and FGA to understand the concepts. I would use the original text to get the commands from to make sure nothing is mistranslated. Sorry for the bad German.
  3. But there are choppers, scooters, buggies and steamrollers. Also called bungee cords (still massive). They do have fossil fuel cells connected to the doo-hickey under the hood, but with the same dilemma of stopping without brakes, parachutes, anchors or even retro rockets, only tailhooks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tailhook
  4. Every time I tried to access MSFN since yesterday, I get this error (even as a guest). When I tried to access it through a proxy, there is no problem and I can log in (and post). So it seems like my IP address is blocked for some reason, but not my account. I've tried it on three different computers with the same result. Can someone please tell me how to get around this issue? http://img30.imageshack.us/i/2000a.png/
  5. Hi psynrg, Welcome to MSFN The easiest way is to just roll a piece of insulation tape around the wires (with enough space to push it into the pins). Alternatively, you can use an old cd rom audio cable, and make it to fit the pins. See here and here and here
  6. Hi ubelong2matt the second drive does not sound like BSY. If it is sometimes recognised, and other times not, it is something else. Does it work if you try it through an external USB enclosure, or as a secondary internal HDD (not the system drive)? You do realise that you can recover your data and repair your drive using this procedure?
  7. Did you test the power cable with another hdd to make sure it is working (or used another cable)? It certainly seems like the voltage is rather too low than too high So it is better to try without the resistor (might still be too low).
  8. That is terrible, horrendous, abhorrent and appalling All I can add: Free hapless trapped armadillos.
  9. True, but also plenty fiddles, cittern and Chitarra battente. Although their are plenty Cornetts and Bazookas, the irrefutable loss is that there are NO vuvuzelas , which would really irritate, annoy and stress the soccer opponents in that illustrious challenge.
  10. At least they are not being used to make charangos any more And they do not need to hibernate (especially since it is always summer, and never winter, spring or autumn )
  11. Unfortunately we can't legalise, regulate and tax the poor armidillos , however, they can be approved, controlled and assessed
  12. The obviousness of their leaderlessness is for all to see. Regardless of the account that no one is equal, none is more equal than others. Nevertheless all is different
  13. Across the street, an immense assemblage of intellectuals (mostly engineers and programmers, with NO lawyers and politicians) were alluding through carefully planned affairs that the scatterbrains opposite them will be oodles happier and fitter if they willingly choose to apply their little grey sallow cells effectively
  14. Although no reliable sources could be found, some gossip and utterances were understood to call attention to the matter that transmitting intoAnnunaki and Reptillian were eyeballed as well.
  15. Anyway, speaking of Elmer Fudd, it is good to know there are a lot of Looney Tunes There are Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny and Melissa Duck, but no Porky and Petunia Pig. Although Tweety Bird is there, there is no Sylvester cat (but I tawt I taw a puddy tat) There are a Road Runner, but no Wile E. Coyote Also Speedy Gonzales is there, but no Taz or Michigan J. Frog
  16. Normally the cheap chinese clones are easy to open on the phone side. If you cut off the phone end about 2 cm (1') from the connector you can happily cut away the plastic with your favourite knife without needing to worry that you will damage the other side (can't guarantee the same for your fingers ). You just need to see what colour wires are connected to those pins to identify it on the other side.
  17. Good find Fortunately the chances are slim that Klingon and hacker will make the list http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-klingon http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=xx-hacker
  18. If you opened up the end that would normally go into the phone, you can see which wires is connected from which pins, and thereby determining which is which. The colours are unfortunately not standard due to different manufacturers. Do you have the right drivers installed? if you fiddle with the side you cut off, there is not too much chance of damaging something serious. If the wires on the USB are loose, you have to fix them again. It is worth a try!
  19. Normally you just pull out the sata power and wait a minute. From 7200.11 guide:
  20. What exactly did not work? Did you managed to identify the right wires through the given link?
  21. Hi Daniel, With the 7200.11's it is not a problem switching off and restarting if it takes too long. See here I do not think it will be a problem for the ES2 as well. Give it another hour and restart then. Good Luck!
  22. What is the problem? Which part do you not understand? It is really not that difficult. If they say they will recover your data they will Then you only have to worry that the courier service there and back won't lose/damage destroy the disk
