  1. Which drive letters this partitions have?
  2. When you delete those two partitions before windows setup begins you can create a C: partition and enter the size you want (C:and F: free space). Once you install Windows XP you can use Partition Magic to resize your partitions as you like..
  3. Ok, transfer the contents from C: to D: drive if you have enough available free space.. If not, try to compress contents on drive D: to gain some extra space.. If you can't do that, that's probably because D: drive is formated with FAT32 file system, in that case you should convert your partition to NTFS.. Now you can boot from CD and then delete partitions C: and F: You can install windows on C: partition.. When windows installation finishes you can use disk manager to convert your drive letters as you like or recreate partitions.. You also can use some third party software like Partition Magic 8.0..

  18. when you're using sysprep you can use -nosidgen which runs sysprep without regenerating SIDs that are already on the system. This is useful if you do not intend to duplicate the computer on which you are running Sysprep. and you can use -activated switch which prevents Windows Product Activation resets. If this parameter is not set, Sysprep can reset Windows Product Activation a maximum of three times. Hope this helps
  19. There is no deactivation. If you reformat, you will be asked to activate and, assuming your hardware is the same as when you first installed XP the process is no different from when you first installed. It's a hand shake between two computers over the Internet. If there have been enough hardware changes to reach the activation threshold, then instead of a relatively automatic activation, you would be prompted to call a specific phone number wherein you would explain what changes you had made and that it's still the same computer and they would give you a new activation code over the phone.
