  1. I have searched forums and found many articles according to it, but all recomends changing cdrom, that will probably work, but i think there is no need to. So i'm using modified dell cd and that could be problem. How can i use standard cd and still have dell autoactivation and probably get rid of asms error when setup start?
  2. Well i did it little different myself with modification to properties in transform, but uninstallation don't work. Does it work with this aproach?
  3. Well, i'm trying to keep as much of original XP as possible. So this will be probably the last option. Maybe i should look on other modified XPs (like BlackXP) how they make it.
  4. After many tries of cleaning up my .theme i keep it in original state and just replaced C:\windows with %windir% and added slash where it should be. But i still can't get wallpeper working. I copy it using $oem$\$$ and theme is set by winnt.sif, nothing else. Style is set, but wallpaper not, and i really can't figure it out and don't wan't to end up on psychiatry. When i set theme in display properties after installation it set wallpaper too! This is line that sets wallpaper Wallpaper=%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\Mint\Mint.jpg and this is whole theme ; Copyright © Microsoft Corp. 1995-2001 [Theme] ; My Computer 5. So what about codecs and nero express? Is it posible to remove them and keep original installer?
  6. Hello i installing tcmd via customized install.ini and copying config files to default user location where i want them. Everything works ok, BUT (there is always but, when i writing here ) after installation is complete explorer window with total cmd startgroup opens up. Do you know how to get rid of it (other then disable creating it with setup and crate it manually)? EDIT: oh, i found it here on msfn someone posted nircmd.exe ...
  7. The best way is to install, configure as you need and then made a sfx archive with %APPDATA%\u******* and %PROGRAMFILES%\u******* folders (I added Ip filter to Application Data folder). Hmm and set it as default ******* application and crate shortcuts for it. \: BTW when i run it with /PERFORMINSTALL 6 /NORUN in runonceex it does run and crate shotcuts for CURRENT USER, not for allusers ...
  8. I'm trying to use original u*******, but simply can't get it work. I use /PERFORMINSTALL 6 /NORUN, but it won't install \:. Does anyone managed to get it work only with executable, or do i really need to make make own installation for it? Maybe problem is that i must run it in runonceex and not cmdlines.txt, but then it will install only for current user and not to all users
  9. So, is there any known way how to do it today? - Separate office 2007 base and mui installation.
  10. I have tried "Setup.exe" /S /v/qn and Setup.msi /qn and both seem to ignore cmdline. How exactly am i supposed to run it to use setup.ini? EDIT: NVM, i used "Setup.exe" /S /v"/qn SERIALNUMBER=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" anyway admin installation is solution too ... I now wonder how to get rid of tips toolbar showing after first start ...
  11. 12. I'm installing mui with this commandline StartX.exe /WAIT /B "@QUOTE@.\mui\muisetup.exe@QUOTE@ /i 0405 /d 0405 /l /f /r /s". Is there any way how can i make all installation dialogs disappear? Even with startx /b there is still main progressbar vissible and also some unpacking dialogs that main installer launches.

  15. Hello, i have mui.cmd file in $OEM$ on my cd file contains @echo off title mui @echo on @echo installing MUI ".\mui\muisetup.exe" /i 0405 /d 0405 /l /f /r /s pausethen i have this [Config] Append =.. [Czech mui] context = Installing Czech mui runwait = mui.cmdin my ktool config file and i'm starting ktool with ktool.cmd from cmdlines.txt. Ktool.cmd contains cd ktool kTool.exe config/cmdlines_install.ini, but mui installation never starts. I have tried placing mui.cmd (notice pause at the end) to $oem$, cdroot, $oem$/ktool $oem$/ktool/config but it still don't start can you help me please?
  16. BTW do you know some tool that has gui like runonceex and runs in cmdlines.txt? I know it is totally offtopic here, but i don't want to mess forum with more and more of my questions ...
  17. Thank you radix, with your links i was finaly able to complete all .net installation! Only problem i get is dot net 3.0 czech language package don't install normally - it writes that i have allready newer version of it and cancel installation. However i can unpack it and install it with vs_setup.msi /qb! /norestart VSEXTUI=1 but still can't uninstall it. Weird. BTW funny is that i install 3.0 in T-12 with these two 2004 errors i can install and uninstall langpack without problems
  18. BTW i tried to slim down 3.5 installation (cut off x64 and vista stuff), but then i got many "updates" to dot net 2 and 3 if i install it separtly will it be calener then when installing from dot net 3.5? One more thing i can't understand is that .net 3.5 (with 3.0 and 2.0) don't install via cmdlines.txt (no fail or anything, installations runs till end), but it install withouth problem frome same file after installation is done (and probably via runonceex too). installation log: http://pastebin.ca/932449
  19. Well, i need to say that i mostly wonder about framework 1.0 . I want my XP to support most applications, so ... is 1.1 backwards compatibile to 1.0 or something? Sorry for me being stupid )
  20. I have really mess in this, so i asking here (after searching forums btw ) do i need to install directX after SP2? I installing some new redist nov2007, but i don't know if dx9 is integrated in sp2 and if i can install only some small update for it do i need to install .net 1.0 + .net 1.0 sp3 or is it integrated in SP2?
  21. I did some modification to your script SETLOCAL SET SC=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes SET Extn=7z-0 arj-4 bz2-2 bzip2-2 cab-7 cpio-7 deb-11 gz-14 gzip-14 iso-8 lha-6 lzh-6 rar-3 rpm-10 split-9 swm-15 tar-13 taz-5 tbz-2 tbz2-2 tgz-14 tpz-14 wim-15 z-5 zip-1 FOR %%j IN (%Extn%) DO ( FOR /F "tokens=1,2 delims=-" %%A IN ("%%j") DO ( REG ADD %SC%\.%%A /VE /D "7-Zip.%%A" /F REG ADD %SC%\7-Zip.%%A /VE /D "%%A Archive" /F REG ADD %SC%\7-Zip.%%A\DefaultIcon /VE /D "%PROGRAMFILES%\7-Zip\7z.dll,%%B" /F REG ADD %SC%\7-Zip.%%A\shell\open\command /VE /D "\"%PROGRAMFILES%\7-Zip\7zFM.exe\" \"%%1\"" /F ) ) ENDLOCAL now it do exacly same thing as 7zip when you associote it with settings!
  22. Hello, i have install ie7 via cmdlines.txt and it works. Problem is when i try to install update for fixing runonceex for IE7. Update writes error that i don't have right IE version so it will not install. Anyone know how to "fix" it? Because i want vissible runonceex, I can only imagine installing update in with runonceex with hiden flag > remove flag > reboot > continue with other things in runonceex. But i don't like this idea because of one unnecessary (probably) restart.
  23. Does it uninstall iteself after finishing installing last item in RunOnceEx? If not, can it be uninstalled unattended? BTW download link is down ...
  24. Hello, is there some way to have new runonceex.dll (not old 6 one) and IE7 and visible runonceEX items? Or is there some runonceex replacement, which work same way, is same simple, allow restart, etc. and in best case is writen in autoit? EDIT: according to this http://www.msfn.org/board/IE7-KB928090-Bre...ain-t93212.html it looks like there IS fix for it that allows to have visible runonceex items. Now i wonder if install IE7 in runonceex will it mediately after installation is done clear all items in it so even installation of fix? (I think that it s bulls***, but i'm not 100% sure)
