Problem solved... Have to add, i wish 98 SE had a recovery prog just like XP.

All diskettes, all. I mean i have a broken floppy, not diskette.

Hello. I have this floppy problem- when i start Windows, it sais floppy could not be located, press F1 to continue. First i thought it's not connected properly... etc... When i try to defragement A:\ (floppy) , my PC freezes. When i try to open diskette, it sais that no floppy is in drive A:\ Anyways,i always have to waste CD's now , and as i said, my PC lags when i copy files anywhere (not in this topic)

Can anyone please teach me this stuff?

Does that thing work on 98 SE ?

i didnt read the posts, but what i would do, is insert the Win ME cd-rom , go to My Computer and select the drive. Search for installation file and start.

hehe! I once had that with graphics card and i couldnt see anything on monitor. At the end we called a computer repairmen and he charged us about 50€ for connecting the card correctly

waaah. Everyone thinks XP so cool. Not let me say, it uses same driver as Win98 As long as i remember, all USB softwares worked on my Windows.

Just set a BIOS password. Whats wrong with that? Press delete when you turn on computer, clikck "Set User/supervisor" password. Supervisor password is the second one you can use if your brother changes your.

I have to add that XP is today's system, and today we have neat entertainment programs. If you haave XP you propably think that it is cool and stuff, but i run everything on 98 and works fine. (psychological- maybe misspelled) and, no im not nerd. I just installed 2000 and, boy it sucks so much!

And how should i find out if i have any of these problems?

I replaced the logos several times inm the right format. i even downloaded boot skin Bitmaps and logo.sys files, but when my Windows 98 starts, first thing it does is restore the original logo

I checked, i dont have tftp.exe and my fan works. The problem is even when i started Windows for a min. In my CTRL-ALT-DELETE window i have only 5 progs running

Maybe it's processor? Maybe it burned?
