I used this recently to play Wolf 3D, in... 3D! You can also download high-resolution texture packs for it. The best feature imo is the map overlay. Try it out http://sourceforge.net/projects/newwolf/ http://newwolf.sourceforge.net/
I noticed this a while ago, and have yet to see anyone mention it. Under Tasks it should say 'System Properties' not 'System Protection' because thats what it links to.
to be honest it looks like you did not change the DPI at all, everything looks like it is still using 96 dpi. Did you reboot? Also "context menu" usually refers to the pop-up menu you get when you 'right-click'.
when you reinstalled Office 2007 did you follow the same upgrade routine you did previously using the Office 2000 cd? also just to be clear the problem you are having is after installing Office 2007, you get an error message when you start any one of its applications stating that it is not installed for the current user? Hmm, it is interesting to note that you believe everything was working until you installed Norton IS 07. I strongly recommend people stay away from Norton products anyway as they have been ineffective and garbage for some time.
if its a video you created then you can tell flash to export it to avi i believe. Otherwise if its a video you found on a website I would just leave it, 1) because you technically do not have the right to redistribute it, and 2) SWF is still drawn with vectors so its perfect quality unlike flv.
I use Rain-X to 'repair' all types of cd's and dvd's and I have an almost 100% success rate with it. I just put a couple drops on it and polish it around the disc contrary to what most would suggest and it almost always works. Its very easy to use and it works much better than Brasso and without the fumes. A good program to test for read errors is Nero CD-DVD Speed which is also free. Download links: http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/...DVD-Speed.shtml http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Nero_CD-DVD_Speed.htm Its complicated to explain how to interpret the results so here is a good guide, you mainly want to focus on the 'Disc Quality' section. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=192563
'best' and 'better' are up to you. This is a good and free burning software imo. DVD-Video support means it can burn vob files not re-encode alternative formats to dvd. There is other software for that task.
I am using XP until at least Vista SP1 - which is already in the works. I only like a few things in Vista: the new media center, the improved clock and quicklaunch, and some under the hood improvements. The list of things I dislike is much longer.
