The cheapest and best solution IMO is to either buy and burn the files to external media (DVD+-R) or buy more storage space (hard drives). If your going to continue "ripping" video encoding is most dependant on your CPU. MPEG-1 is very old and poor video format, use a modern encoder like MPEG-4.

I dont think "reversing" swf's back into fla's is part of UniExtracts function domain, since it is not an archive or installer, instead an animation file. Besides you cannot really recover the original fla anyway. BTW this is probably a known but FFDShow cannot be extracted, I am using the latest "tryout builds" but they all use the same installer I think.

Tested with clean install source + 17 addons + xpize 4.6 RC no problems I will give this a shot on a clean server install source in a day or two, but I don't anticipate any problems. Thanks again nuhi! I will come up with some ideas for nLite 1.4 series...

A couple things: Symantech AV Corp v10 has been out for a while now, unless your using Vista I dont think there is much reason to upgrade to it. Symantec makes a "Home" product branded as Norton; its garbage, stay away from it. You are correct that there is free anti virus software, search this forum and you will find the ongoing debate about which is best. To "protect your pc from incoming attacks" you need a firewall, either software or hardware, because all antivirus software does is scan files already on your pc. You're never "safe" per say, you are just "safer"

I think this topic should be moved to the Vista forum as I don't see how it has anything to do with vLite. Besides there is previous discussion of the patch that removes the memory check in that forum as well.

One installer I've never had any luck with is Skype's. UniExtract 1.5 actually extracts the files but they do not work. PEiD identifies it as: "Inno Setup Module Heuristic Mode [Overlay]".

I had the single button appear as well when extracting a certain installer, I'll try to find what it was. Also I noticed a little typo, it should read: "but could not be extracted" Also a killer feature would be an extraction 'que' so one could drop multiple files onto UniExtract and it will extract them one by one. Probably difficult to implement but something like this would be really awesome
