  2. Piano Hero is now Synthesia due to a C&D from Activision. New version released with hardware acceleration.
  3. I think Nero Express automatically resumes a session if available but in Burning Rom it needs to be manually chosen In the New Compilation window choose from 'Start Multisession disc' and 'Continue Multisession disc'.
  4. Skype works good for me too. There is an msi available that should be easier to make into an addon http://download.skype.com/SkypeSetup.msi also a portable launcher is available here: http://www.robloach.net/project/portableapplications
  5. Neverwinter Nights?
  6. ftp://ftp.slax.org/SLAX-6.x/rc3/ NTFS write support nice
  7. I suggest a different way if possible and someone wants to bother: use a script to remove one component at a time and measure the size of the removed files (in the temp/cache/wherever). Keep up the good work nuhi!
  8. hit the frontpage about a month ago http://www.msfn.org/comments.php?shownews=19900
  9. It better be worth the wait Sounds like the first cards are going to be 80nm (rv610?) and then 65nm (rv630?) though. screenshots captured from the page for the HIS Radeon HD 2900XT http://www.techpowerup.com/?30504 Problem is the HD 2600 is not coming out until June and the r700 is supposed to come out Q1 2008 with multiple gpus. Probably know a lot more in 2 weeks.
  10. custom build usually means you buy the components separately and build the pc yourself. technically Dell and others let you customize a pc to buy too. I am in the custom build camp, again I build it myself. I prefer the Shuttle XPC's.
  11. OLEDs are self luminating and do not use a blacklight, unlike LCD. Should use less power, last longer, and lower eye fatigue.
  12. I actually used the 404 joke before in a class, i think one other person got it. BTW I am one of those good at computers and school aka nerd
  13. here is another: http://www.framakey.org/En/Index
  14. probably should create a poll asking when or how often you use a floppy. Maybe once a year here for some random problem.
  15. Have an Asus K8V SE Deluxe which i dislike much. Never owned a Gigabyte board but voted for them since they are using solid capacitors. I've only been buying Shuttle though because they integrate so well with the case; synergy.
  16. n3rd [edit] wanted to add I think geeks have lowered their standards. a lot of people are proud to call themselves geeky now, people who know "how to download", use an iPod, cellphones, gadgets, etc. A geek is going to buy an iPod, and nerd is going to hack or build his own. Nerds imo have a deeper appreciation of the technology at work. I've met so called "geeks" who are claim to be "computer experts" yet are still on AOL, blow up their computers, get spyware and viruses, and ask for basic help.
  17. Same, Tiberium wars is just boring compared to Generals.
  18. What is this MCE has been out for a long time? Also I reccomend PNG for screenshots like that.
  19. Nice I am already using some NirSoft utilities but I overlooked that one
  20. I check deal sites, for example pricewatch and AnandTech's RTPE, but I usually shop from NewEgg, ZipZoomFly, eWiz, CheifValue, MonarchPC, Mwave, and maybe some where else for cables.
  21. just want to jump on the bandwagon and say I agree that Norton software is a waste of time and money. Anyway a quick google search for that phrase returns the following: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/share...pen&src=_mi which leads to a bat file to 'fix' Windows Cryptographic Services:
  22. nice pc btw got a link for the wallpaper?
  23. http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=38769
  24. The pic was taken with a Canon S410 and should not be so blurry, try holding the camera steady and using flash. You don't have another (cheap) stick of memory to test with?
