  1. It's version 6.14.10.4864, it's the Intel Mobile Chipset Driver. 965 to be exact.
  2. I don't know if this has anything to do with what I have on my system, but when I install the extended core and I right click on my computer and click properties, explorer crashes. I also get errors at startup, I think they have to deal with the intel extreme graphics controller software.
  3. Alright, the latest version of UR2 and UU10 is installed and even the KB888111 just to be safe...no difference. In fact when I try using the audio part of the webcam which doesn't seem to have any driver issues, I go to record and I get slapped with a BSoD, the code was 0x000000C5. So....where to from here?
  4. Maybe or maybe not, I know another program that uses .NET 2.0 and works on Windows 2000 is Utility of Time and I know that it was buggy on Windows 2000 as well. If I remember correctly, the program was based off some code from that other program. I'm using Vista for the time being until we can get my other problem sorted out so there's no rush on it. Would using the program in conjunction with KDW help as I think it solved a few of my problems with UoT, or is it strictly a .NET problem?
  5. @tomasz86 Then I must have it installed. I do have Update Rollup 2 installed. It's actually Alpha 3 build from when I asked about it a while back. Would it still be in that build as well or would I have to redownload the latest package?
  6. I don't think I have KB888111 installed, I'll have to check. But I'm pretty sure it's the camera driver itself that doesn't work. I know the audio driver looks okay. But under imaging devices it shows Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 with the yellow circle and the ! in it.
  7. I've tried a couple of them, including the latest version, I believe it's version 13.31.1044.0.
  8. @tomasz86 That's exactly what I'm talking about!
  9. Could you tell me names of the applications concerned? I'd like to check if they work with .NET 4.0 installed. Well, I'm into editing a game called Zelda, Ocarina of Time. There's a utility a member created on another community called SharpOcarina. It's available from www.glitchkill.tk. It requires .NET 4.0
  10. I would be forever grateful if he would look at that driver for me. It's now the deal breaker of keeping Windows 2000 or upgrading.
  11. Hey buddy, I did that already. I even did it on a clean install of Windows but all I get is that error and then for the video part it says, Error Code 10, device cannot start. When I tried using the mic part of the webcam, I just got a blue screen. So, I don't know what's going on.
  12. I'm just going to use this topic for another webcam problem. I bought an awesome Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 from an estate sale. It had no disks or anything but I figured out that it was this model. However, I can't get it working at all in Windows 2000. I tried blackwingcat's instructions on his blog, however, I get the software installed but the camera itself won't work and it just has a little black ! in a yellow circle in device manager. Any ideas how I can get this working? It works in Vista so I know I have the right drivers. It says XP and above but we all know that most of the time this stuff can work on 2000 as well. Any input would be way appreciated.
  13. Is this the information you're looking for? Laptop Integrated Webcam USB\Vid_05a9&Pid_2640&Rev_0100 Laptop Integrated Webcam USB\Vid_05a9&Pid_2640&Rev_0100 Unknown
  14. I tried that and unfortunately did more harm to the system than good, such as disabling the modem literally. The package I think had to deal with the number 5116 or something to that degree so I don't know if that's the one you dealt with or not. I did try the brute force trick but nothing actually worked. I even tried bwc's FCWIN utility and it still didn't see through the faked OS. So I'm not sure what Creative did to it as I know later SoundBlaster drivers will work if you force them. I basically see no reason why XP made drivers can't work on Windows 2000 as their builds are literally identical. But manufacturers are forcing people to upgrade, so they put these id*** limitations in them.
  15. I downloaded all the Windows XP drivers for this laptop and they all seem to work just fine on Windows 2000...except for the webcam. The XP version will not work on Windows 2000. Is there anyway to recreate the driver or make it somehow compatible with Windows 2000? I really want to video chat with my girl and also use Windows 2000 on my laptop which is the only webcam I have. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks!
  16. I really don't know, I've never actually tried to run my computer without his kernel installed. But usually it seems like I start having problems when I'm working on video editing and I have an explorer window open as well. That's when my problems start to arise, most of the time.
  17. The file version of explorer.exe is: 5.0.3700.6690 When the problem reoccurs, I will try and run ProcessExplorer and see what I come up with.
  18. I actually found an error as well with the new kernel as well, the English one anyway. Now surprisingly, I get a breakpoint error when trying to launch Google Chrome and I've also been getting nagged about esent.dll being a bad image just like tomasz86's image, but it wasn't during uninstall that I received it but actually at any random time. I couldn't even open the Add/Remove programs because it would just hang there with a gray box. But uninstalling almost ruined my system but I have gotten back from it. This is v17b's package as well.
  19. This is becoming a real problem for me now and it's getting to the point that I might abandon Windows 2000 if I can't come up with a solution to this. There are select times that when I'm browsing my computer that explorer just decides to go in super slugging snail mode and trying to get it to register anything is painfully slow. It can take up to a minute for something you clicked on to actually highlight itself. The mouse pointer itself moves fine but everything else just slows right down to nearly nothing. If I can manage to open task manager and kill both explorer.exe processes that are open and then reopen explorer via new task, everything goes back to normal. Or even sometimes if I close out the window I'm viewing the speed will pick back up. My computer is an awesome one with 2.23GHz Duo Core with 4GBs of RAM, there's no reason in this whole universe it should be sluggish so I'm thinking there's a problem somewhere. I'm using Update Rollup v2 and bwc's latest v15s kernel extension (but this problem has been even before the latest release). If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it dearly.
  20. USP 5.2 requires UURollup v10, so you wouldn't want to uninstall it unless that of course has changed since the alpha build, but I don't believe so.
  21. I had gotten the parameter is incorrect problem myself and had reported it to Tomasz. Like he said, Reg.exe was missing from the update pack which would cause the installation to fail. As soon as he added it, the update installed successfully without any problems at all. I had ruined my main PC by installing the bad copy but since then recovered. The lesson here is always test in a VM first before going live with it. XD
  22. I appreciate all your hard work! I'm eager to test it too, but take your time.
  23. I like it myself. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to add the little windows logo in it as well?
  24. Hi blackwingcat, I'll have to try that out if this happens again. I have completely wiped my system and started over so my problem is gone. However, if I do have it happen again, I will try that method, thanks.
