Thanks guys I have already wrote a script which displays an image on the screen, but can you please tell me any command which can stop that cmd window from appearing and how can I give command to this script so that it will disappear as soon as installation finishes. I know sleep (4000) means it will disappear in 4 secs similarly 40000 means 40 seconds but I wish it to disappear as soon as installation finishes, means I wish to associate this script with silent installer's script.

Can you please Explain in detail how I can do that with Flash or HTA???????????? I am a newbie as far as Autoit or Flash or HTA is concerned.

Hi guys, I have already wrote some scripts for registries and installation of some silent applications, but when I run those scripts I see a cmd window and I don't like that window so can I replace that cmd window with any image? If yes, then please tell me how and if possible, please give me the script itself.

I have already patched my files and replaced those files in the mounted install.wim. Aero theme is not a problem for me anymore. Now only applying my custom theme is problem for me.

So I thought Autoit can also do it. Now as you have told me about this registry I would try this as well. But I would also like to know about editing in default

Hi guys, I am trying to apply a custom theme as default theme, I tried some ready made answer files but not working for me. So I thought can I do the same with some Autoit script? If yes please write a script for me which can apply a theme named "simplicity.theme" and then close the personalization window as well.

This is not the problem for me anymore, as I have already mentioned I have already patched all 3 theme files with universal theme patcher and now everything is fine apart from applying custom theme as default theme. If you can tell me where I can add that option in my answer file when I would try to create an answer file with WSIM. I don't want to use a ready made answer file.

Hi guys, I have one exe for adding File extension toggle option in the right click. I made a silent installer of that that exe as it was not a silent installer. But when I try to run that SFX it is actully extracting that exe in the same folder where that SFX is placed. Though the exe is now silent and running properly as well but it is also extracting that exe. THis is the script I have use to make silent installer: Why my sfx is placing the exe???????????????

Thanks for your reply but as I have already metioned in my previous post that I tried some ready made xml but when I try to install my OS after editing my OS doesn't apply that custom theme infact it is using Default aero theme as default theme. Secondly I have replaced all three theme files with patched patched files but then also aero theme is not working then I had to use unversal theme patcher for patching those files once again. Do I need to make any more changes other then the name in the theme in the Autounattend.xml, as mere changing name is not applying custom theme as default theme?

You are really a life saver brother, I was trying to learn how to write script for registries. Now I can make multiple reg files with this file, and then finally compile all those regitries into an exe file with Autoit. Just one last question can I use this file to convert a reg file with multiple registries in it into au3 file.

Hey brother I have already insalled WAIK and I wish to make my answer file by myself can you please tell me how to set a custom theme as default them with xml file. I mean I need to know the option where I would find theme option if I am making an answer file with the help of WSIM? I have used some already made xml for applying custom theme but not working properly. I want to integrate some custom themes and would like to apply one of them as default theme.

Hey guys, I am looking for a registry which can add search option in the right click. Secondly I wish to use Autoit for running registries and 2 exe which are also registries but in exes. Like for installing silent applications we use cmd file and for regisries we use .reg files I wish to compile cmd files and reg files in .exe with the help of Autoit. I don't know anything about Autoit but I know Autoit can be used for such purpose, please help me guys.

Redoing is another issue, I would do later on but what should I do with current installed OS???????????? As it was not not like this when I installed this OS, can I upgrade my OS to same windows 7 Ulitmate????????? I just hate reinstalling all the applications again and again. The main issue is can we upgrade to the same OS like I am on Windows 7 Ultimate and there is a little problem in the OS and I would like to upgrade my OS to the same windows 7 ultimate. Is it possible to Upgrade to the same OS i.e Windows 7 Ultimate??????

yeah I have trimmed my OS with vlite. But the problem was not there earlier. The problem started after some days of installation. BTW now How can I know which file is missing and how can I rectify this problem????????????????

hi guys, I have recently came across with a customized OS (Not a Warez OS, it is 30 day trial version called Windows 7 ROG) I have seen very strange things in that OS: 1. There is no catalog file in the sources folder only two wim files i.e. install.wim and boot.wim and one more file is there which is setup.exe. 2. There is an install folder in the windows folder which has some silent installer of softwares and some exes, I believe those exe are of cmd files and registry file. See in the screenshot: Now I wonder how this can be done. Can anyone help me in this???????

Thanks for all your replies, you seem to me a enthusiast person. That is good but this is not as simple as you have explained, you must be doing all your customization on an already customized OS. To get that icon visible I had to remove the alpha 1 channel in Photoshop. I am assuming that you have changed that logo in an already customized OS mean the alpha 1 channel is already removed by that person who has customized the OS but if you are working on a fresh copy of Windows 7 the alpha 1 channel should be removed.

Instead of WAIK for Windows 7 use WAIK for Vista the process is too fast in WAIK for Vista. I am also experiencing the same thing so I switched to WAIK for Vista.
