Thanks for your reply brother but I am using advanced option as I wish to keep my OS size as small as I can. But at the same time I also wish to keep some components like paint, wordpad, windows Media Player, Windows Photo Viewer, Windows disk image burner, etc. I managed to trim my OS to 935 mb but Aero theme and wifi problem still not solved. If you can share your lastsession.ini with me that would be great.

I am having one more problem in my trimmed OS. Apart from Aero theme my OS is not able to connect to my wifi router. I tried each and everything but problem still persists. When I see wireless Netowork connection status I see 412gbps in speed but there is not connection to my wifi router. I suppose some service is disabled, I don't know which one.

Hey ben, I used Advanced option with some modification as I wanted to keep some of the components like windows search, paint etc. But when I install my OS Aero theme was not working infact none of the themes were working. I even tried to patch theme files and tried to apply some third party themes but I am unable to apply any theme. Can you please tell how to enable theme? I am again trying to use advanced option this time I have enable themes lets see how it goes.

To change this bmp go to install.wim>Windows>system32>shell32.dll and change 632 (ghost image) and 633 in bitmap.

Infact we can change winload.exe but we need to patch that file otherwise system will not boot at all. The only problem I am facing is "I am not getting the method how to patch winload.exe"

Rename Installation Entries of Windows 7
nice_guy75 replied to beatmaster's topic in Customizing Windows
You are bang on target, go ahead and change the strings. -
I don't mind playing with those files as well and I already did, I have already made an Acronis image of my C drive. But when I changed the text in winload.exe, booting failed and got an error something like "Digital Signature is not verified.......... bla bla bla" And as I have already mentioned it can be done with normal windows 7 as well but winload.exe need to be patched. And I want to lean that method only,

nice_guy75, is the attached what you are looking for? As you can see I opened it in XN Resource Editor, found here. I am not sure this is the best one for this job, but I have used it on my XP x64 system and created the attached screen shot on my W7 x64 under VM. If you double click the message text you want to change, then you can edit it. When I did these kinds of changes on XP, I had to run with System File Checker (SFC) turned off (also called WFP). Don't know yet how this works on W7. Please let us know what you learn. Enjoy, John. See brother, in windows 7 it is not possible like you did in XP as we have to patch winload.exe. I have already tried to edit winload.exe in windows 7 ultimate but booting failed and some error like "Digital signature is not verified". And also tried to change the text in winload.exe.mui but I don't see any Change. And I am looking for the method with the help of which I can patch winload.exe. Please help me someone.

Installing Apps under Windows 7
nice_guy75 replied to clivebuckwheat's topic in Unattended Windows 7/Server 2008R2
I prefer to install the OS and then install all the applications and then capture the install.wim. I believe this the easiest method availavble.
