  1. yes you can, I have already created a multiboot DVD but I have made it with reverse integration. You can also integrate sp1 by slipstream separately and than merger both the install.wim.
  2. Hey guys, I have trimmed my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (reverse integrated) with RT7lite v1.7.0 RC. Everything is fine just one problem. I have tried each and everything from services.msc, gpedit.msc, tried in the safe mode as well. Ran few registries, maleware removers as well, but my problem remains the same. Please help me guys.
  3. Yes, I think you can delete this SetupComplete.cmd! No I can't as I have removed Mobility center and Ease of Access and setupcomplete.cmd has the commands to remove their shortcuts from accessories. I would not delete setupcomplete.cmd rather I would delete the commands I have mentioned earlier. Thanks for all your help mate.
  4. Ok so should I delete the commands from setupcompelete.cmd, I have already deleted the rt7litePILaunch.exe?
  5. Which application would you suggest to make autounattended.xml, as I have tried rt7lite but skip user creation is not working in rt7lite. Which other application can I use to make autounttended.xml? I don't want to use WISM.
  6. Its because WAIK for Vista is very fast, I have observed myself, mounting and unmounting take too much time in WAIK for 7 I heard from my friend who are on WAIK for 7 it takes almost 30mins (in some cases) to unmount wim with commit changes and in WAIK for Vista takes at the most 30 to 50 secs.
  7. I think the problem is when you have installed RT Se7en Lite the first time and trying to customize your Windows 7. The name is RT7LitePILaunch.exe and this program is inside %SystemDrive%\Program Files\Rocker Teams\RT 7 Lite (x86)\RT7LitePILaunch.exe I think it's better to install first WAIK for Windows 7 before using RT Se7en Lite to have an successful installation and customize Windows 7! *Edit: You can mount your image install.wim customized, and inside the mounted folder you will maybe see: %Mounted_Folder%\Windows\System32\RT7PILaunch.exe But I think this program is used to install silently your programs added with RT Se7en Lite and located inside: %Mounted_Folder%\Windows\setup\scripts\ I already have, mate. I have already WAIK for vista installed in my lappy and as it require wimmount driver so I have also installed wimmount driver separately taken from WAIK for 7. Ok what if I delete the rt7litePILaunch.exe from the wim itself?
  8. I presume you are talking about the host OS, Nope I didn't install any application with the rt7lite. I got this error in the target (the trimmed one) OS. Did you face any error of RTlauncher.exe?
  9. Even I don't know what is pilauncher.exe, I didn't try to integrate any silent installer or so. I just trimmed by OS and added some tweaks that is it. Even I am not sure about the name it may be Wpilauncher.exe, and I have also observed a strange thing, I used a pen drive to install the OS and when the OS installed there were 3 extra files in the pen drive 2 exes and one dll. I don't remember the names of those files.
  10. Hey guys has anyone of you faced any error like "pilauncher is not installed correctly" I have trimmed my OS with RT7lite and got this error just after I install my OS. And I also found 2 desktop.ini files on the desktop, how can I remove those files?
  11. Thanks for your time and all the replies mate, rebuild all images didn't work for me. I have selected my 64bit image and RT7lite trimmed only 64bit image only. But I am happy atleast my loading image problem got solved. Rebuild all images is not a big deal, we can trim all the images separately and then merge all those images with gimagex.
  12. Not really, I am on x64 OS and installed this one: http://www.pub.rt7lite.com/7lite-rc-beta-1726-dec6-10-stable/rt_7_lite_win7_Vista_x64.exe and trying to customize x64 OS only. I hope Ben would come and suggest a solution. Edit: Let it be man, I have solved my problem, Actually my mistake, I am using WAIK for Vista and ben told me to install wimmount driver and unfortunately I have installed wimmount driver for 32bit so only 32bit image was loaded smoothly but 64bit image was giving error in loading. Now I have installed wimmount driver for 64bit and everything is fine. I really appreciate your help.
  13. Ok mate here is the info of my wim: WIM Information: --------------------- GUID: {54F24379-CF01-4F5B-84A6-60BA9B23D3DC} Image Count: 2 Compression: LZX Part Number: 1/1 Attributes: 0x8 RP_FIX Image Index: 1 ------------------- Name: Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit Description: Windows 7 Ultimate Flags: ULTIMATE Files: 49576 Folders: 10014 Expanded Size: 8894 MB Image Index: 2 ------------------- Name: Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit Description: Windows 7 Ultimate Flags: ULTIMATE Files: 66667 Folders: 14089 Expanded Size: 12276 MB WIM XML Information: --------------------------- <WIM> <TOTALBYTES>3902584267</TOTALBYTES> <IMAGE INDEX="1"> <FLAGS>ULTIMATE</FLAGS> <WINDOWS> <ARCH>0</ARCH> <PRODUCTNAME>Microsoft® Windows® Operating System</PRODUCTNAME> <HAL>acpiapic</HAL> <PRODUCTTYPE>WinNT</PRODUCTTYPE> <PRODUCTSUITE>Terminal Server</PRODUCTSUITE> <LANGUAGES> <LANGUAGE>en-US</LANGUAGE> <DEFAULT>en-US</DEFAULT> </LANGUAGES> <VERSION> <MAJOR>6</MAJOR> <MINOR>1</MINOR> <BUILD>7601</BUILD> <SPBUILD>17514</SPBUILD> </VERSION> <SYSTEMROOT>WINDOWS</SYSTEMROOT> </WINDOWS> <DIRCOUNT>10014</DIRCOUNT> <FILECOUNT>49576</FILECOUNT> <TOTALBYTES>9327078571</TOTALBYTES> <CREATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBEC92</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0x5482009E</LOWPART> </CREATIONTIME> <LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBF142</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0xEC33FE18</LOWPART> </LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <NAME>Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit</NAME> <DESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DESCRIPTION> <DISPLAYNAME>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYNAME> <DISPLAYDESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYDESCRIPTION> </IMAGE> <IMAGE INDEX="2"> <FLAGS>ULTIMATE</FLAGS> <WINDOWS> <ARCH>9</ARCH> <PRODUCTNAME>Microsoft® Windows® Operating System</PRODUCTNAME> <HAL>acpiapic</HAL> <PRODUCTTYPE>WinNT</PRODUCTTYPE> <PRODUCTSUITE>Terminal Server</PRODUCTSUITE> <LANGUAGES> <LANGUAGE>en-US</LANGUAGE> <DEFAULT>en-US</DEFAULT> </LANGUAGES> <VERSION> <MAJOR>6</MAJOR> <MINOR>1</MINOR> <BUILD>7601</BUILD> <SPBUILD>17514</SPBUILD> </VERSION> <SYSTEMROOT>WINDOWS</SYSTEMROOT> </WINDOWS> <DIRCOUNT>14089</DIRCOUNT> <FILECOUNT>66667</FILECOUNT> <TOTALBYTES>12872915616</TOTALBYTES> <CREATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBEAFC</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0xD96DE811</LOWPART> </CREATIONTIME> <LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBF142</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0xE2DF8576</LOWPART> </LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <NAME>Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit</NAME> <DISPLAYNAME>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYNAME> <DISPLAYDESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYDESCRIPTION> <DESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DESCRIPTION> </IMAGE> </WIM> Still getting the same error.
  14. But as I have told I have also tried with single image in the wim (by deleting x32 image from the wim) but got the same error. I guess there must some problem with the wim info itself. I need to check the default info of wim and then change info of my wim. I have also noticed that in my first image "<ARCH>0</ARCH>" and in my second image "<ARCH>9</ARCH>", is this something to do with the error?
  15. So what would you suggest to do? I have not changed the index number I just merged the x64 image to x32 image by gimagex and rest all done by gimagex. Let me clear you one more thing, I have also tried with RT7lite beta v2.6.0 and I have successfully trimmed my both the images separately as rebuild all images was not working in beta v2.6.0 as well. But the there were some problem in that OS especially bluetooth was unable to find other bluetooth devices, USB modem like Reliance NetConnect was unable to connect to wireless network. So I have decided to trim my same wim with v1.7.0 RC
  16. I don't think this might be the problem as I have also tried by deleting the first (32bit) image but the result was the same.
  17. Thanks guys, my problem is solved by xml itself. Please help me here if you can:
  18. I have created a SP1 DVD by reverse integration, actually I have created two wims one is of 32bit and other one of 64bit and then mereged both the images, and then I tried to trim that OS, I have successfully trimmed 32bit image (as rebuild all images option was not working) so I have to trim 64bit image separetely now when I am trying to load my 64 bit wim I am getting this error: Here is wim info: WIM Information: --------------------- GUID: {54F24379-CF01-4F5B-84A6-60BA9B23D3DC} Image Count: 2 Compression: LZX Part Number: 1/1 Attributes: 0x8 RP_FIX Image Index: 1 ------------------- Name: Windows 7 Ultimate Description: Windows 7 Ultimate Flags: ULTIMATE Files: 49576 Folders: 10014 Expanded Size: 8894 MB Image Index: 2 ------------------- Name: Windows 7 Ultimate Description: Windows 7 Ultimate Flags: ULTIMATE Files: 66667 Folders: 14089 Expanded Size: 12276 MB WIM XML Information: --------------------------- <WIM> <TOTALBYTES>3897491255</TOTALBYTES> <IMAGE INDEX="1"> <FLAGS>ULTIMATE</FLAGS> <WINDOWS> <ARCH>0</ARCH> <PRODUCTNAME>Microsoft® Windows® Operating System</PRODUCTNAME> <HAL>acpiapic</HAL> <PRODUCTTYPE>WinNT</PRODUCTTYPE> <PRODUCTSUITE>Terminal Server</PRODUCTSUITE> <LANGUAGES> <LANGUAGE>en-US</LANGUAGE> <DEFAULT>en-US</DEFAULT> </LANGUAGES> <VERSION> <MAJOR>6</MAJOR> <MINOR>1</MINOR> <BUILD>7601</BUILD> <SPBUILD>17514</SPBUILD> </VERSION> <SYSTEMROOT>WINDOWS</SYSTEMROOT> </WINDOWS> <DIRCOUNT>10014</DIRCOUNT> <FILECOUNT>49576</FILECOUNT> <TOTALBYTES>9327078571</TOTALBYTES> <CREATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBEC92</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0x5482009E</LOWPART> </CREATIONTIME> <LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBEC26</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0x554CCDF9</LOWPART> </LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <NAME>Windows 7 Ultimate</NAME> <DESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DESCRIPTION> <DISPLAYNAME>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYNAME> <DISPLAYDESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYDESCRIPTION> </IMAGE> <IMAGE INDEX="2"> <FLAGS>ULTIMATE</FLAGS> <WINDOWS> <ARCH>9</ARCH> <PRODUCTNAME>Microsoft® Windows® Operating System</PRODUCTNAME> <HAL>acpiapic</HAL> <PRODUCTTYPE>WinNT</PRODUCTTYPE> <PRODUCTSUITE>Terminal Server</PRODUCTSUITE> <LANGUAGES> <LANGUAGE>en-US</LANGUAGE> <DEFAULT>en-US</DEFAULT> </LANGUAGES> <VERSION> <MAJOR>6</MAJOR> <MINOR>1</MINOR> <BUILD>7601</BUILD> <SPBUILD>17514</SPBUILD> </VERSION> <SYSTEMROOT>WINDOWS</SYSTEMROOT> </WINDOWS> <DIRCOUNT>14089</DIRCOUNT> <FILECOUNT>66667</FILECOUNT> <TOTALBYTES>12872915616</TOTALBYTES> <CREATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBEAFC</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0xD96DE811</LOWPART> </CREATIONTIME> <LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <HIGHPART>0x01CBEC39</HIGHPART> <LOWPART>0x69B7C9D3</LOWPART> </LASTMODIFICATIONTIME> <NAME>Windows 7 Ultimate</NAME> <DISPLAYNAME>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYNAME> <DISPLAYDESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DISPLAYDESCRIPTION> <DESCRIPTION>Windows 7 Ultimate</DESCRIPTION> </IMAGE> </WIM> Please help me guys.
  19. Can anyone suggest me how to change keyboard layout in the wim itself. Now I know what was causing the @ and " problem actually my keyboard layout is set to UK and now I wish to change it to US, how can I do this in the wim itself?
  20. nice_guy75, just heed myselfidem's advice. It works for me. I am running Windows 7 SP1 (IE 9 integrated) slimmed down by RT Se7en Lte 1.7.0 RC in my computer, and it works fine with no problem. The only reason to use RT Se7en Lite 2.6.0 beta instead is that you want to slipstream SP1 to Windows 7 RTM image. When using RT Se7en Lte 1.7.0 RC, it does not make any difference if you use Windows 7 RTM or Windows 7 SP1. RT Se7en Lte 1.7.0 will treat Windows 7 RTM and Windows 7 SP1 just the same. Plus, RT Se7en Lte 1.7.0 RC should be more stable than RT Se7en Lite 2.6.0. With Windows 7 SP1 image, you do not have to waste your time slipstreaming SP1. In short, use RT Se7en Lte 1.7.0 RC to slim down DVD Windows 7 SP1, just as myselfidem advised. Did you try to make your DVD unattended, as with v2.6.0 skip user creation is not working and I have enabled the control panel in and HomeGroup was enabled. Though I am more concerned about unattended DVD. If v1.7.0 RC can make unattended DVD it is fine with me. And I am also facing very strange problem, when I trim my os (please see my lastsession.inf) bluetooth is not able to find my mobile and USB modem like Reliance net connect is also not working on that trimmed OS. Most importantly I have not changed any of the services.
  21. Yes mate, I have actually captured two different wims and then merged both the images and then I tried rt7lite but rebuild all images didn't work. BTW I am attaching my lastsession.inf here please go through it and let me know is there any problem in my inf? Lastsession2.inf
  22. I am at work place and the inf is at home, I would attach my inf as soon as I reached the home. I just want to know can I use v1.7.0 RC on SP1??????? I was in the impression that beta v2.6.0 is for sp1 and v1.7.0 RC is for OS without SP1 so only I used beta v2.6.0. I would try v1.7.0 and then post my results here only. In beta v2.6.0, skip user creation is not working, HomeGroup is enabled when I enable Control Panel in the Explorer ( My Computer) and rebuild all images option is also not working.
  23. Hi guys, I have made a SP1 DVD by reverse integration, and when I remove some components with RT7lite I have observed very strange problem. My "at the rate" @ button is replaced with "double inverted commas" ", means when I tried to write myname@yahoo.com I end up typing myname"yahoo.com. I wonder what might be causing this problem and how it can be rectified. Secondly, my bluetooth device is unable to connect with my nokia, similarly, USB modems like Reliance netconnet is also not woking. I have not changed any of the services with RT7lite. Please help me guys.
  24. Thanks mate I would try tomorrow and post the feedback here only. Have you tried beta v2.60 I have noticed some serious problem with this version, Rebuild all Images is not working, skip user creation is also not working, I have enabled the Control panel in the explorer and HomeGroup is enabled in explorer (My Computer). I guess benjamin is not getting time now-a-days as he doesn't come online to solve our problems. I have posted the same problem on RT as well but no reply till now.
  25. I have trimmed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with RT7lite beta 2.6.0 and when I tried it I got this error: Windows could not parse or process the unattend answer file for pass [specialize]. The settings specified in the answer file can't be applied. The Error was detected while processing settings for component [Microsoft-Windows-shell-setup]. I have attached my Autoattended.xml please help me guys. Autounattend.xml
