It seems to me that you will need a restore installation of Windows. About why it happened..I really cant know...If you ssaid you have followed the given instructions, it has been probably another app that have interefred with XPize uninstall or something.

Reloader updates files in the Backup folder, so if you uninstall XPize, the most recent files are restored.

Thats scares me a bit. I can imaging people having boot problems because they didnt add an image in the correct format (bitmap with 16 colors pallette)

Framework is not needed for Royale to be applied. The only "normal" cases in which Royale iinstall is skipped is if you have disable Themes service or youre using XP MCE.

You need Framework 2.0 for latest XPize Settings. Also, whats is that "the startbar hasn't been updated"? You mean Royale style hasnt been applied?

I think I should include a method to check if user has NET 2.0. Currently, XPize installer check if user has .NET, whatever version it is.
