  1. How do you know keyscrambler itself is not intercepting what you type??? Hum??? Let's not get too paranoid. Hehe.
  2. I believe %programfiles% is just a variable that stores the location of the program files folder. What actually defines your program files location is a registry key called ProgramFilesDir found here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion What this means is that even if you change %programfiles% to something else, internally, Windows will NOT recognize this variable as the location of your program files folder. You will also find the key ProgramFilesPath = %programfiles%.
  3. NEAT idea indeed. In my original post, I was hoping members would quote the one before, that way, no need for list. But now, we'd have to go back 40+ posts to get all the words.
  4. LISA is a name. VISE has been used already. RISA is not really a word - it's another acronym according to dictionary.com. VIDA is Spanish isn't it? VASA is another acronym or a medical prefix/suffix. PISA is an Italian city. VINA - good one! a musical instrument of India. I didn't specify any rules so I guess you can use names, cities, words in other languages, acronyms, etc., but only if absolutely necessary. Anyway, didn't call you out. Just asking if we hit a dead end. Alright, let's continue with VEST: BEST
  5. Have we come to a dead end, thanks to TAiN? I can't think of a word after VISA. So, this is all I can come up with: VESA an acronym for Video Electronics Standards Association.
  6. CAST I'm sure FAST has been used already.
  7. As a matter of FACT, I'm ready for your dare.
  8. Let's stop this childing behaviour and act like PURE adults.
  9. EasyBCD has nothing to do with the partitions you are creating.
  10. How did you create your partition beforehand? Did you use Vista? If so, partitions created by Vista are no longer compatible with Windows XP. See this: Vista's New Partitioning Rules. It's best to create you partition with a third party utility. I would prefer using BartPE with Sherpya's XPE plugin to use XP's disk management console to do it. However, I don't understand why you can't install on unallocated space. During XP setup, trying deleting the unallocated space and create a new partition and use XP to format it as NTFS it you are able to.
  11. MARE FART has been used already in post 8.
  12. Change one letter to create a new word. For example: GAME TAME TAKE etc.. You can't repeat an already used word. Quote only the words before you to make sure no word is repeated. Let's see how long it can last. Here's the starting word: FORM
  13. I don't quite slam mine. I just jerk it a bit and it works.
  14. Where is your Windows PE installed? If it's on C:\, it should work. If you have Vista installed and it's on a drive other than C:\, then you need to specify that location. Basically, the error means what it means, it can't find the BCD store that you are trying to modify.
  15. Did you put it in an external HDD enclosure? If so, take it out and put it in a real system and see if that helps. Sometimes, external HDD enclosures have problem with recognition and power supply problems.
  16. Are you trying to modify your dll's online? you can't modify files that are in use by the system. you have to copy that file to another location, modify, then replace the original offline. Once you make the changes, then you need to use tweakui to repair the icons for changes to take place (for XP). In Vista, changes should take place automatically.
  17. AuthorAnne is correct. I just wanted to add that you should remove your document for download. It's got personal information.
  18. I think because 2000 is 7 years old, many probably can't recall the 2000 setup process. I believe it was with Office XP where setup copied the installation files in a hidden folder called MSO. This avoided the need to insert your CD. If you want to avoid your problem, I guess you can copy the Office 2000 installation files to your HDD or network share and install from there. This way, your install files are alway available rather than on CD.

    dual boot

You can't do that if you cloned XP, because the source of the clone is C:\. If you put that on E:\ you will get errors because your registry points everything to C:\, not E:\. You have to reinstall.
