  1. Check your services ( Start -> run -> 'services.msc') Is the DHCP Client Service running? That's the only other thing I can think of. BTW is the network connection 'flawless' when a static is configured, ie can you do file transfers etc. without error?
  2. Dr. Divx is pretty good http://www.divx.com/divx/drdivx/ It's the only divx encoder I've used that doesn't mess up the A/V sync.
  3. Or if you're really busy, Start -> Run -> 'rsop.msc'
  4. A group policy, computer startup logon script utilising the 'cacls' command might be useful. Use with care tough because you dont want to go resetting permission on all the foders on your system drive.
  5. No you shouldn't. Could you post your %PATH%?
  6. Just what command is it that you are trying to run?
  7. I always taught that 2K/2K3 Server's ability to restrict logon hours would be a little helpful in the I-cafe biz. And you can use it through script; Net user /TIME. Also I believe group policy can be configured to auto logoff when logon hours expire.
  8. I guess I've gotten used to the old look. This is going to take some getting used, but it's definitely for the best cause I can already see a lot of new features.
  9. Yeah it's in relation to the number of posts that user has made, I'm not sure of the specific amt. per star, anyone care to help me out there.
  10. I've been using an XP SP2 slipstreamed install ever since it came out, the only problems where a few incompatible third party apps
  11. You know thats a nice idea, file type registration based on file size. It would however require an exe frontend. Anyone know of any apps that can do this or do I have to go conjure up one? I'm finally gettin .NET so I'll say I've found a first project
  12. If indeed you are getting network services when you configure a static (try pinging some other boxes) then the problem is with your dhcp server. A restart of the DHCP service should be sufficient, if it's not and it doesn't report any errors check the servers cabling.
  13. compmgmt.msc should do as well
  14. You're right seems this is an updated version of the game where the code changes daily, I'd recommend using a flash decompiler to figure out the algorithm used to generate the code. I'll post any successes later.
  15. Did this game awhile ago, very possible, very difficult
  16. http://www.nod32-av.com/news/vbreprints.pdf Very impressive. Norton's SAV is up there as well.

  18. There is no way to convert it to an IDE drive (not that I know of anyway). But you can create a new IDE drive and transfer your data using some sorta disk mirroring software (norton ghost etc.)
  19. Are your Drives SCSI or IDE? They should be IDE for WinXP, or you'll need to get some drivers.
  20. Yes Mr. Director, care to offer me a job I've been using sharepoint, but haven't been utilising as much of its features as you have, thanks for the ideas. Main thing I intended looking into was its integration with Exchange Server for LAN wide IM purposes, but i haven't really done anyhome work on it, plus I've found that Exchange 2003 doesn't come with the IM server software.
  21. Signifies which cards you're getting, pretty useless without this cheat Note: if you're passing cards to your left, then all players are passing cards to their left
  22. Seems this technique is credible, I'll accept it but it seems the sole purpose of it's creation was for a want of a square root of negative numbers. i would really like einstein to take a look at this because it seems not only that sqrt(negative #) = i but sqrt(negative #) = -i neway my IQ can only go so high If this is the case, then i is not a real number and the solution for "e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0" would have to be in terms of i.
  23. Just be hoest where do you wanna be in five years. Personally i wanna have my degree and be a Network Administrator. Additionally let me just add to the list a question that I got stuck on "How do you deal with conflict in the work place?" That question count for major 'points' and i still haven't been able to come up with a flawless answer.
  24. I must have missed something in school because it isnt possible to square a number and get a negative answer. Oh, man. I think you did. You just nullified my high school math life Could you give me an example of one such number, or point me in the direction where I can learn more about this?
