  1. Not the new one, the NEW GTS I´m talking about here .
  2. None, but if you need it online, then newegg or tigerdirect.. So that’s Western Digital Raptor… nVidia 8800GTS 512MB (yes, the 512MB version, NOT the 640MB)… Corsair HX620… No, that’s more 4-4-4-12 or so, or even 4-3-3-12 (800MHz) can be found for a not extreme price, 1066MHz is a bit more expensive and will be around 5-5-5-15 timings, and if you go with 64bits then 4GB, if 32bits then 3GB… QX9650… Well, Gigabyte is one of the best for me, but if you like you can pick directly an ASUS. Go with the still not released nVidia 780 Intel version chipset (out in some days/weeks).
  3. Yes, when you reach the ground water level. But I think it’s okay to have less then 75 Ohm resistance. The water tube option is for people that live in apartments or places where it´s not easy to get a pin into the ground, most of the time the water system is connected to earth also.
  4. hmmm... Site looks like for gays and women (girls) that look for guys... What about non-gay guys?
  5. I like it when people are happy. So what’s the next step? Throwing the fridge size monitor out and get your self a flat screen against the wall?
  6. Or use water tubing (existing). Sometimes it’s hard to smack a 1 to 1.5 meter copper pin into the ground with a diameter of 12-15mm . By the way, you have a crap system here in America when you want good grounding...
  7. There is always warp-mode . Sure there will be faster stuff every day... it never stops, well, not soon any way...
  8. You could call the service desk from DELL or HP, and say that the drive has crashed or something?
  9. Then I have to say, you are in the 0.01% group. The SB Live! card uses the 5volt line from the PCI bus. It seems that it’s getting that but there isn’t enough power to power the amplifier. If there are bad "domed" or leaking capacitors on the motherboard, something Dell isn’t new too, you could try to replace them. Other then that you are out of luck; a system upgrade or replacement is needed. I’ll move this back to the hardware forum, I didn’t thought (and hoped) it would be hardware...
  10. Installed all the USB drivers? No problems with other USB devices?
  11. No, you don’t need to buy it again. Some times you don’t get a DVD with the system; in that case you burn your backup DVD(s) with the software that is included. If you hard disk dies just ask for a replacement and take your PC to a service centre, if it’s out of warranty then replace the hard disk your self and install the backup image or the DVD that came with the system... Or am I missing the point here? Moving this topic to the Vista forum.
  12. Well, he did, this is why I say it’s 99.9% software related. The onboard sound chip is also connected to the same PCI bus, so that should not be a difference... but it can’t hurt to try indeed.
  13. With a GeForce 6200A 512MB?
  14. Cool mod! Startup/menu screen doesn’t look good but the rest is awesome... Thank you for posting this, it’s like I bought almost a new game .
  15. Must be the brand of the laptop then . Here people play games on them for hours and hours, but I’m talking about desktops.
  16. Not really, there 950 started to be good, the 3000 sucked but the x3x00 series were good again. I have 945GC boards here that do a better job then the onboard ATI and nVidia ones, although the only for AMD 690G/V is good too. I would buy AMD stock now; they will go up sooner or later. There are large groups that buy stock now from AMD .
  17. I don´t have links, sorry ... But you could try google...
  18. Indeed, you heart it well. As AMD has ATI now, Intel wants a peace of the cake too. But they better be starting to make GOOD drivers unlike they did for there integrated VGA.
  19. Ups, saw it in the topic title... I think you will have more luck in the XP forum part... moving it there.
  20. This can´t be hardware (99.9% sure). What OS are you running?
  21. Q4 2007, But Intel is waiting until AMD releases there new CPUs, that will be like in Q2 2008 . They have a TDP of 80W by the way...
  22. No, the x3100 also supports DX 10 when the drivers are ready from Intel. Only difference between the x3100 and x3500 is the higher core clock, 500Mhz vs. 667MHz, and OpenGL 2.0 support, as the x3100 has OpenGL 1.5.
  23. Then you tell me how to test NCQ? BIOS has been installed and drivers are loaded indeed, benchmarks show a smoother image and Advanced Power Management feature IS enabled. It would be nice if some one who has an ICH9R with the same drive and run the same benchmark (HD Tune default) under XP to see what shows up... EDIT: My PC: - Without AHCI enabled takes 24.6 sec. to get to the desktop of Windows XP 1) 2) - With AHCI enabled takes 19.2 sec. to get to the desktop of Windows XP 1) 2) 1) From start of use harddisk. 2) Average has been taken from 2x 10 startups.
  24. I didn’t test it on Vista, but it should work (almost) the same way. Step 3 could be a problem, but you could check if the keys are in the same place with Vista... EDIT: on the other hand, it’s not giving you much performance as you can see in the benchmarks I posted above . Scratch that, read on...
  25. It´s the GT , the laptop fom Dell has the GS, so a score of 3.1...
