  5. please explain more in detailes of what you need.but i guess you mean share permission.select the file/folder you wanna share>righ-click>properties>sharing and security>permissions. just remember to disable "use simple file sharing" in windows explorer>tools>folder option>view>last check box.

  7. ok let me see if i got this right.in your network even on other machines the user/password are diffrent they are not prompt for password? and from that laptop it asks for user/pass? right?how you configured the share permissions?
  8. first that windows are in a workgroup by default. i know that in a domain because of trust relationships you wont have this problem, but dont think you want that. theres actualy one way that works, you have to have the same username and password on both systems.ex: 123:abc on a machine and 123:abc on b machine.got it?
  9. come on people.please i really got stock here.even posted this on flexbeta and mcp magazine but ... .
  10. do you guys really trust those tests results in firewallleaktester? i mean come on,jetico get the gold and kaspersky firewall get the best choice.i tried kaspersky firewall before it s*cks.and jetico just can define ip,port filtering like all other firewalls.
  11. sorry but gotta say thats a little odd (stupi*) question.as you, your self said XTRA STUFF you gotta take out everything that you dont need. just be careful to not remove items with caution or be careful with them. first decide what purpose is your windows for then remove unneeded items. i nlited a winxp for my gaming to 239mb B)
  12. ok i think you dont wanna use another software just wanna remove the one user at a time(remote or local) limit right? if yes check this out: http://riccardo.raneri.it/blog/eng/index.p...remote-desktop/
  13. welcome phenix and have fun but not too much as i always say
  14. hi tantraman, welcome to forum.of course we will use youre informations .
  15. thanks.i guess i have to reserve an ip for my client and set the limit to forever or just use static.
  16. ok there are two possibilities.fst through share permission, snd through ntfs permission.anyway you dont remove everyone from permission list instead remove their access ability and dont deny them neither.just uncheck all the boxs(no diff using ntfs or share permission)and then add the users u want have access and allow the permissions you want. let me know if it worked.
  17. ok when i start my windows it gets ip from dhcp but when server restarts or shut down my workstation changes to 169.254... but the lease time of my ip is 24 hours. why that happens?
  18. it still works if i just disable the firewall module of tiny.just wanna know how can i configure it to work with firewall enabled.
  19. ok im using the nat service from routing and remote access of win2003 server and i just installed the tiny firewall pro 6.5.74 and i cant seem to configure it to allow traffic for my nat even i enabled nat option in settings.i think the problem is that nat make a connection for it self for the dial-up and it doesnt show on MY CONNECTIONS so i cant add a connection in dangerous zone of tiny firewll. any idea?
  20. ok in routing and remote access/network interfaces/modem properties/options/connection type there are two options: 1.demand dial 2.persistent connection , and neither of them helped. theres anotther problem, when some on dials in it starts to get the authentication and i dont want that to happen neither. any ideas?
  21. in routing and remote access service i configured my nat settings and everything is fine but with every packet from anyone in the network my demand-dial modem starts connecting, but i just want it to connect manualy not automatic in any situation. whats the solution?thanks.
