  1. the bios. But I made the mistake of assuming you had RAID, it looks like they have a model that just has 2 sata drives, you are just looking for the seagate sata drivers. I would check your BIOS and let us know what your config is.
  2. I use the drivers from LSI. On the 2900 for instance i use the megasas driver. But we would need to know what LSI card or PERC set you have in the box, as from what I can tell the r200 have a couple of different setups.
  3. Subscription sites are just fine here in said Land, where itunes, napster and others operate servers. The question is though, why you would pay for a service in the "land of the freer" when the courts would view it no differently than if you were using a service that provided the files at no cost to the end user.
  4. "The bottom line is this it is not illegal to download anything in Canada.." anything, is a little broad, even for Canada. I believe those rulings would be hard to stretch over software.
  5. mildly help or mildly inconvenience i enjoy both.
  6. ahhh, the wrist guard waves on yours but the keyboard does not. i c
  7. i win http://www.frys.com/product/5361428?site=s...CH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
  8. I like that thread because the WGA Forum Program Manager refers to it as "an opt-in program..." that "Once installed, WGA Notifications becomes a permanent part of Windows XP software, and therefore cannot be uninstalled." rather than just saying, that building an uninstaller for the code that verifies legitimacy would be borderline retarded.
  9. Is it difficult to not google, Ive never tried? http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/g...64-da8398b706f9 and your suspicions are probably well founded since microsoft KBs are rarely scrutinized by the community and usually involve little documentation.
  10. its like post 14 but manual
  11. reshacker, but yeah you are still going in manually and putting what you want. and imho, it is too easy to perform the tasks correctly with reshacker to rely on something that would further automate the substitutions
  12. http://www.msfn.org/board/editing-winntbbu...mies-t8385.html better search terms would be 'billboard' and 'winntbbu'
  13. http://www.devnewsgroups.net/dotnetframewo...-suspended.aspx
  14. if you want all frameworks current you need only to install 1.1 3.5sp1 + family update because, 1.0 is embedded in XP and 3.5 sp1 is essentially 2.0 SP4
  15. so those are generally listed as {GUID}.KB953595 {GUID}.KB958484 If the parent key does not exist I would suspect some orphaned action. Have you tried http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en :the white paper http://download.microsoft.com/download/A/2...35SP1Readme.htm
  16. In the key, does it give up the names or installsource / install location information of the pieces that are left. If so, please provide those. Your issue sounds like some fun
  17. I apologize, some of those entries are a bit incomplete. Go ahead and type the following into a cmd prompt msiexec /x{that-key-name} it should work for most as the folder is generally named the same as the GUID.
  18. like this guy: http://www.msfn.org/board/windows-7-vlite-...ed-t134863.html or all these people: http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&amp...oq=&aqi=g10
  19. yeah I would certainly run them all. I did not clean (nor even look for that matter) for orphaned pieces. Once I had uninstalled the existing pieces via this method, the .net installations resumed normal behavior.
  20. go to START-->Run type regedit browse to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall you will see a bunch of folders underneath generally titled with the GUID of the product installed when you highlight one of the folders the contents will display in the right hand pane start scrolling through them looking for a displayname that is = to some .net action then copy that uninstall string and paste it into a cmd window *again, if its a /i that will usually be the repair/remove dialog, use /x for the straight uninstall dialog
  21. I would go with an XP SP3 pro, Nlite the bulk, then build up any media center wants with third party apps (Kantaris for playback + tversity/boxee for streaming is a lot more fun, imho). edit: but that list does seem antiquated, waiting a month and getting a retail 7 should be considered.
  22. browse the GUIDs in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall should be able to get the msiexec /x{guid} string for any left over pieces. We had a video driver that dropped a version of netframework2.0 I had to uninstall via this method.
  23. you said woofer as well, I believe he was replying to that segment. <--offers nothing of use
  24. http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-...pc-restart.html I would try the solutions in post #4 and #6............ and then I would realize that it was IE and replace my browser
  25. or right click the device goto properties goto detail tab or is that not what we are after here?
