Does Service Pack 2 slow you down? Source I only can find one problem on that review, they forgot to say that with SP1 you didn't have that better firewall, popup blocker and everytime you connect to Internet the Blaster virus will reboot your system I thought on post this on technology news or general discussion section, but I find more interesting read your opinions.

talking about speed... ata133<ata150... talking about cpu use... about 30% less when copying files... the big difference is 2 ata133 slots free to add any other device

can i play? amd64 radeon 9800 pro (from a good brand... perhaps sapphire?) 1gb corsair/kingston/geil ddr400 160gb SATA maxtor or seagate f.e. audigy2 player (it's better than any mobo integrated sound and it's not too expensive ~50/60$) for mobo recommendations ...(at least 6usb 2.0, firewire, nforce chipset and most important sata connector)... google it's a really good friend

Driverpack Sound - V5.03.1 & V5.03
SiMoNsAyS replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
(i guess) you can run it from cmdlines (drivers are already installed at that point of installation). -
Should Microsoft do a complete recode of Windows?
SiMoNsAyS replied to gamehead200's topic in The Poll Center
for me definitely not and i'm sure gates won't think about that too a lot of vulnerabilities will be erased rewritting the code but new ones will appear... -
Driverpack Sound - V5.03.1 & V5.03
SiMoNsAyS replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
i think i've found a little glitch in the cmd code for control panels: should be IF EXIST %D%ctaud2k.sys XCOPY /y %C%CR\COMMON\CtCtrlPan.cpl %systemroot%\system32\ IF EXIST %systemroot%\system32\drivers\ctaud2k.sys XCOPY /y %C%CR\COMMON\CtPanel.exe %systemroot%\system32\ -
start from scratch, use any AV app, then anti-spyware. if that not solves the problem you can continue degraging and finally kill all the unneeded processes to see if explorer still takes that amount of resources...

[XPCD Example]: BioHaZaRD Unattended PRoJeCT
SiMoNsAyS replied to SiMoNsAyS's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@lilweirddude this is because of the palette, you can manually modify it (i've seen in this forum how to do it hex editing) or you can do a little search for bootedit that it was the program i used -
DeeJay's Windows XP Unattended Project
SiMoNsAyS replied to djfin's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003

DriverPack MassStorage:which method do you prefer?
SiMoNsAyS replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
i really preffer 1st method, i already have a slipstreamed version of massStorage drivers which works flawlessly with my si3112r chipset. problem it's that if i switch to other method i need to rebuild all my installation (entries added and removed from txtsetup.sif and lof of files cab compressed on my i386 dir). edit: i've read from a few people that some drivers won't work if they are not implemented by the 3rd method... maybe you can do a little mix of methods dunno -
i used the old version for sp1 and was amazing... this one looks better... good job indeed

[XPCD Example]: BioHaZaRD Unattended PRoJeCT
SiMoNsAyS replied to SiMoNsAyS's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
in the first post there isn't any allusion to a bootskin.ini file, i think that comes with stardock's app bootskin but i don't make use of it -
hahaha, first enemy of every pc... dust!
-
again you can use resource hacker to split it into various bmp files but i wouldn't recommend it. better take a look to stylexp's style-builder
-
i agree XtremeMaC but not every1 it's using the hosting of msfn and as long as it is possible i'm sure every1 will use his own bandwidth or a 3rd one but... what if you don't have those resources? 8k doesn't do that damage (i think )
