let's start saying that you can download ANY file from the inet as long as you delete it after 24h, so the argue can be "download the modified file, check it and improve those hacks into your own file". now back at the question host a modified file it's illegal but again you can upload it for 24h, or simply advice people that they need to delete them.

LoL@skybl4ck sorry but i can't add a how-to-rar-sfx with every guide. i thought the instructions were clear enough, just add the files to a rar, then mark make exe file and in the comments tab add the comment between tags.

@MtK no i didn't misspelled i specially said replace because if you simply remove them, then the installer will prompt an error so it can't find the necessary files. you need to replace them with 0-byte (dummy) files. as i said you must left intact the nero folder, setup.exe and setup.cfg. you can replace some pluggins from the common folder and you can replace too some contents of the redist dir. feel free to post feedback and how much did you reduced it @Astalavista LoL, that's interesting, probably the serial problem, take a look at the solution on first post

sorry guys, it wasn't me who did the OC but believe me i would like to be there is no info about the temp on that conditions but they've been only able to take a little screenshot so it's not too stable. in another image i can see how they run a SuperPI test calculating 1M of PI cecimals (25sec), in the same tests i get a thing between 58-75sec so a simple calculation 1 P4 3,6Ghz (6009Mhz)=2,59 AMD 3000+ (2300Mhz) Really LoL

if you read carefully the first post i tell you the source from where to download the 6.6 version. if you download an installer that automatically adds the serial number it's because it's a pirated copy from an illegal source. i'm sure that you downloaded it from a torrent or donkey net. probably install it's called with the /SN switch so when the setup prompts it has already the key number. if you follow the steps at the first post you won't find any problem, that's for sure. from here i recommend every1 to download the file from first post link (MSFN) and left out questions related to "unclean" installers

@MtK it's just an example you can put Title=The MtK's language pack or anything. at the moment i haven't seen any language pack for nero 6.6 so i used my old langpack installer

@esp guy probably you got a theme or so. restore default icons and rebuild icon cache, that should do the job i know, i know, it's taking me more time that what i thought but i promise a big update soon

First post it's updated about windowsmedia error, sorry i haven't had that problem, probably the same problem occurs with the normal installation of nero 6.6. try replacing that file for other one so you don't have that problem also if you already have installed windows media you can replace it with a 0 bytes size file (about -3mb). good luck!

@neotron no worries man, you're not doing nothing wrong it's just that i'm stupid i thought on previous versions of nero, with 6.6 you need to follow the method from the first post with Nero, Nero Media Player and NeroVision Express 3. that means 3 different installers and u can rip any1 of those components. @prathapml yes with the updated serial, demo shortcuts aren't created, only with 6.3 version and blacklisted serials, and it's not the same method as before it's only the same commandline, if it was i didn't need to redo my nero installer and i didn't write this guide ... at this moment i'm trying to shrink the installation but my headache it's against me, some news tomorrow

Introduction New version "Reloaded". First start saying that this is applied only to Package 2 and Package 3 probably can be silent installed with the same procedure.We're going to start downloading Nero 6.6.0.5 version from here. Method of installation will be the same from previous versions (until nero 6.6.0.0) Shrinking I assume you already have installed WinRAR so rightclick the installer and unrar the file to C:\nero6605. If you want to shrink the source installation you'll need to create 0-byte files to replace unnecessary files. If you only want Nero you can replace everything, just leave the Nero folder and I think it will be down 10Mb (Untested). Building Installer Go to C:\nero6605 and select all files, rightclick on 1 of them and select "WinRAR>Add to archive" create a new SFX file with this comment: ;The comment below contains SFX script commands Setup=setup.exe /SN=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX /WRITE_SN /SILENT /NO_UI /NOREBOOT /NOLICENSE /NOCANCEL TempMode Silent=1 Overwrite=1 Title=Nero 6.6.0.5 Ahead Software AG Replace "XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" with your serial number.
