then you're missing something maybe you're not saving it as 32bit, maybe 24bit ...dunno... you can try another trick, open an already created theme and modify it (layers and alpha channel), then save it as normal...

i'm not such a geek at corel but with photoshop when you save the image it asks you to select ... 16bit/24bit/32bit ... and rle compression.

no you can't use .gif instead of the .bmp format. but yes, .bmp support transparencies as long as it was saved like 32bit format. you can use an alpha layer that will do a good transperency effect.

@durex, yes is different than adding the parameter to the shortcut. replacing profiles.ini you simply tell firefox where to look for your profile. @Yzöwl, i didn't understand you before you mean to include a full path to your profile (not necessary located at %appdata%)... is a good idea but i haven't tested it and i don't know if firefox could read it (specially using system %variables%). try it and tell me if it works

is not necessary to specify the full path on profiles.ini. it will search by default on %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox. you can use any name you want for your profile. for example you can use the structure %appdata%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Yzowl and your profiles.ini should look like [General] StartWithLastProfile=1 [Profile0] Name=Yzowl IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/Yzowl Default=1

i can't say anything about opera8 because i haven't browsed with it. at the moment there is nothing better than my firefox, (currently i'm using a nightly 1.0.4). i only open ie to access windows update. also multiple topics with different titles and the same content has been written so why start a new "ie vs. firefox vs. opera" thread

@2forza, these are not regkeys, are stored on prefs.js on your profile dir. you can simply export that archive

is not that easy, you can stretch an image with just 1 click. but take a look at the wheels, they're completly round and the background is plain, it doesn't look like stretched the only strange thing i can see is a pattern that is repeated on the first image bottom-left side
