  1. i always thought system variables are expanded in the registry but... ... i'll suppose your registry entry looks like "%Install%\App.exe", the variable %install% it's defined during the runonceex importing process, but what about after reboot? i think i'm not explaining too well, after the reboot, when runonce process it's started, it finds a "%install%" entry but it isn't defined bcuz after the reboot, you haven't stablish it
  2. i tried lindows a few days ago on my virtual machine. works very smooth and what impressed me was the lot of utilities that it includes. i still can't recommend it because it hasn't got support for SATA drives (maybe in linspire it's fixed).

  16. @big poppa pump, i DON'T need to search i own a m$ internet keyboard pro that uses intellitype. i did what i said and works for me, driver it's installed perfectly with sp2 at least. maybe software (that manage multimedia buttons) not because i haven't test it, perhaps... and please don't come here with your excuses like "i didn't know about it", and yes i KNOW the differences between "Intellipoint" and "Intellitype"
  17. @CrimsonKain a simple example: when xp was in an early beta stage as longhorn it's today did you hear the same comments about it that now with longhorn? how many press newsletters have released m$ about longhorn and how many were released about xp?, how many information it's on the net about longhorn?, how many longhorn betas have been leaked? i'm sure 1/4 than with xp

  21. intellitype, extract the contents of the package, search for a .inf file, copy the folder to your $OEM$\drivers path... add entries to winnt.sif: done!
  22. @Alanoll i've seen the option to remove the context menu options but... what about if i only want to remove some entries and left only for example "play with winamp", where are located these entries in the registry? anyway to prevent winamp to install those extensions?
