i dont get what you are trying to do with that image in your last post chocoboy.. open my computer, then click and drag a file from another location.. say the desktop.. and drop it onto your CD drive. a ballon will pop up from the tray telling you there are new items in the "to burn" que or something like that, click the ballon and follow onscreen promtps, the built in burner (made by Roxio) is a bit lame, takes ages too, try nero.

have you got the clock multiplier set correctly for your chip? is it cool enough? (it sounds like its getting hot) when you fitted it you didnt go over board with the heat compound did you? (just i know someone who did, mentioning no names **cough**barnettrp**cough**) it could also be that your RAM is affected.. if your pc is running with the multiplier set wrong for your chip it could affect the performance of your RAM.

ive used reg clean on XP, no problems it didnt cause anything to go funny, but then.. it didnt seem to do anything, i couldnt find any changes in the registry at all even for keys that should have been removed :S

for them to release a new product, be it hardware or software it has to have an "edge" womething the other products on the market dont have, be it cost, power, new features, expandability, whatever.. windows XP does a lot of new things, has somethings most people never thought of and some things we have all been cursing 98 for not having, i used to curse 95 and 98 for not having a nice user interface ( yes im vain... ) i used to wish i could skin them they where so **** ugly, hey! now we can! plus all the performance tweeks etc, my pc runs beter under XP than 98, if your machine can support it, chances are your machine benefits from it. if your pc is too old to run it.. well.. time for linux and/or a new pc (and you should have got a newer one ages ago anyway, lots of changes have happened in the mean time!! last week i formatted my pc, since then i have had problems with ram leaks from my sound card (creative) now, i know that i should get the newer driver from windows update, but i went ran it, and only 3 updates are available for my pc, odd i thought, so i check "instalation history" and what do ya know.. all the stuff i installed BEFORE the format. now, im guessing that it must log my ip, and thinks that nobody ever formats thier pc :mad: so here i am trying to figure out how to get all those updates it says i already have and wondering if it is just the ip it logs.. or something else, has anyone on dialup noticed the same thing?

i think just about everyone running their own ftp servers around here use serv-u or bulletproof FTP on a windows system...

uninstall acrobat, get a newer version. if it hurts when you poke yourself in the eye.. stop poking yourself in the eye! lol annoying answer i know, ive installed acrobat on here no problems on several xp builds.. what version of acrobat is it you are using?

ahh but, sometimes it will affect other users, my girlfriend has an acoint on here, both accounts are passworded, both are admin acounts, if she alters her resolution then everythings fine, BUT if i change the res on my side of the pc it affects hers.... im not using the main admin account, just [b:056659ba04]an[/b:056659ba04] admin acount. funny eh?

sounds like one of two things, you have a trojan on your PC, or did have, OR you have a virus. id suggest its a trojan. the "REM T SHOOT" bit and the pictures etc make me think virus, put if files and stuff get messed with like they are i think someones trying to freak you out disabling the mouse, just a guess but sounds like your problem... try get some anti virus software from cnet.com ( free trials on most ) and get hold of "trojan remover" and scan your pc with all of these.
