  1. i want the TA-10BD, i was going to get a DA-01BD but now ive seen the new ones they look foxy! ... cant find anywhere that sells them though, only main distributor sites and no prices anywhere! arrghh... http://www.chieftec.com/products/Workcolor/ColorDA.htm
  2. i think hes one of those terrorists.. working on a budget now though, no fancy million dollar machine to play in since osama tightened his purse strings
  3. i agree with EL1TE, an yep, get DDR ram. i think, judging by the system you are building buck, you are going to be impressed with its performance! the way things are going now, with intel trying to own the RAM market (currently theres only 2 makers of RDR ram, intel own the copywright to it) eventually there will be two very different types of PC. it will be Mac , ibm, and PC all over again.... but: Intel (everything inside it is lisenced by intel, designed by intel, and owned by intel), AMD (mass market where any company has the right to make and inovate in new technology) Mac errm.. lets not go there maybe thats an extreme vision, but if intel had thier way you bet they would have it like that, they are the Microsoft of hardware, and you wonder why they have their head up Bill Gates a**!
  4. intel chips.. need right mobo for right chip, pain in the neck. AMD chips.. socket A, simple dimple 266FSB socket A, AMD athlon XP 1800, 1900 or 2000 whats ya flava? at least with an athlon chip, you can upgrade to next speed without changing your mother board. also, AMD chips are cheaper and will out perform a pentium chip for much less cash, easier to unlock and overclock too, if your into that. a pc with an AMD athlon XP 1800 will out perform a pentium 4 and cost less. personally i dont see why people pay (lots) more money to get an intel and are more restricted upgrade wise, and get less speed for their money, also DDR ram is much cheaper than RDR ram. go price up a socket A mother board (eg soyo dragon plus) with 512mb DDR ram, and an Athlon XP 1800. now do same for a petium 4 mobo, 2ghz chip, and 512mb RDR ram. compare them, and what would be good is if some of the folks here with both of those proccessors would post thier bench mark screen shots with sysoft sandra, i know elite and BAH could both do that and prove my point. up to you in the end, but i know where my moneys going.. and its not intels marketing campaigns with silly painted men.
  5. its true, we are currently at about one third internet capasity, ip addresses are made up of 4 blocks of numbers, eg: 127.0.0.1 each with a maximum 3 digits in each block. with more and more devices being permanently connected and more and more people online these numbers are getting in short supply (kinda.. ) the internet was never envisaged to be so huge as it is already!

  11. yes americans put the date the wrong way round,. its confusing and silly. you dont write December 25th 2002, so why do 12/25/02 ?? 25th [b:84eb5fb19f]OF[/b:84eb5fb19f] December 2002 = 25/12/02
  12. those bars will be scrapped in the new forum... and something else will be there instead
  13. we have been in top 5 there for a while, they use an open directory service, hence the description (i never added one to the meta tags even!) if you look on a few search engines they all give us that same description..
  14. hows about this ico i attached.. but add that earth image to it also?
  15. you use setup factory micro?
  16. err.. DDR? i think theres only one mother board out there that support intel AND DDR, and intel are suing the makers. you mean RDR, yes i am a picky b***h.... go for AMD! it will out perform and is cheaper.. and for $1200 you should be able to build a decent system any how never mind "upgrade" you could have 2 pc's....
  17. heh... lamo mandraker lol

  23. this is just a driver problem, and possibly the way its set up, i bet getting different drivers will fix it. and boogs, when did the geforce34 come out? lol As for geforce 4: from the benchmarks ive seen, radeons 8500 STILL kicks nvidias a**.
  24. its just mandrake.. it sux! im gonna put debian or red hat on now ive been using redmond for a while, too many bugs in redmond but it was a good distro for me to start with i think as it was easier than XP to install and i had to fix things which got me used to using bash and i learned a few tricks along the way as well as getting used to using other things on the system. redmond looks sweet but... ill have to try another distro, like,.. one that works properly lol. im enjoying linux a lot.. shouldve used it earlier.
