i know whats wrong! your pc doesent work... yeah sounds like mobo to me, might be one of the components causing it tho, try take something out and see if it does it. keep taking stuff out and putting stuff back till u find what it is. for your nic to have blown.. could it be a problem with your hub? any problems with the other machines? cards blowing up etc? wierd...

you may have a trojan, i hope you have a firewall and antivirus pia... if so scan your system

do you have a NIC card? i used to get something like this, pc would lock up for 30 seconds or so, usually when it unfroze i would be dropped from my net connection. It turned out windoze had installed the drivers for the next card up from mine (fa 312 netgear, mine is an fa311)

getting an account on a private mail server (such as mine hehe) with a .org or .net suffix will result in much less spam, as spammers actually filter these out, .org and .net places tend to not have any money, students etc. so they wont waste time on these, also governements etc use them and its a fellony to mail some of them, the best spam deterent is a .mil address, as its a felony to mail the military.

Hotmail has changed its policy on spam without warning its millions of users. Microsoft secretly added 3 new tick boxes to every users profile without notice. 2 of these boxes are ticked by default "share my email address" and "share my other registration information" i wondered why i was getting a huge increase in spam!! the other box is called "share my first and last names" isnt ticked. this means hotmails 118 million users will be getting even more spam in thier inboxes,... maybe im cynical but it looks like a way to make sure as many people as possible have full inboxes, so that they can be encouraged to pay for larger inboxes! id suggest people do one of the following, close your account out of protest, or go to your 'options' > 'personal profile' and change settings in your hotmail account before too many spam companies get hold of your details.

actually if your drive is badly defragged you might find you cant surf the internet as pages wont load, the tcp icp protocol gets blocked, ive noticed other quirks of a very badly defragged drive also, on different machines too.

move the sound card to another pci slot away from graphics cards and other cards you have (specially ones with fans on) if at all possible, see if that helps

turn off motion blur or whatever its called, it ran slow and like the camera was on LSD till i turned that crap off
