  4. happy ramadan amdmstf me.. i cant do without not eating and beer, sorry dont get too fat come ede heh (or is it spelt eide, or eade... oh well you know what i mean)
  5. gamehead, they would have to add a whole lot of data for the CD checking. all the keygen does is generate keys and tests if they work.. if the checksum is right the key is valid.. even if its not in microsofts database of cd keys, they will know every key they have released ever for all versions of XP, and probably 2k as well. to block all generated keys they will have to include some measure to check the generated key against the ms database. (in other words forced activation on all copies of XP be they corp or not) it wont be locked, well i SERIOUSLY doubt it, i just wanted to know what people thought on the subject even if it does lock you out or something.. it will be hours rather than days or months before someone finds a way to circumvent it, as always happens. if it can be written it can be cracked.
  6. i like alsorts of music.. so any bands you think are kick a** or any tracks that you think should be heard by everyone and his dog - please post some im bored one of my recent fave bands has to be Puddle of Mud, Saliva, and ill even admit... some strange reason even Avril Lavigne is growing on me very talented lady, and but 17 yr old (?) Come on suprise me with some good stuff! *i mean.. post names not actual mp3 files before anyone does something dumb!
  7. erm.. depending on your mother board, you could set it to wake on LAN, and maybe set some script up on a server someplace to open a connection to your machine (must allow it in firewall also) or something... :S you need it in hibernate then too. erm, other way would be to make some kind of timer switch for your power on jumper, wire it to the mother board and prey you dont fry something while figuring it out. i dunno maybe someones got some sensible suggestion lol. im in a daft mood been awake over 40 hours... weee more caffeine! w00t
  8. Kazaa sucks. yes that was a fullstop on the end of that sentance, kazaa sucks fullstop. emule is much beter, hell edonkeys beter than kazaa. and if you want kazaa just for mp3 (as most people use that lame excuse) then get Blubster its loads faster and has more tunes on it that kazaa, i set two mp3 off downloading it in last night and instantly it was downloading at 105KBs. do that in kazaa
  9. what do you think an OS is exactly. an application=collection of smaller programs that make up a larger "program suite", anabling you to do various tasks. an operating system=collection of smaller programs that make up a larger "program suite", anabling you to do various tasks. ---------------------------------------- Conclusion, an operating system is :. an application. i rest my case m'lud.

  22. http://entertainment.msn.com/error.aspx?as...vies/Movie.aspx and that was from a link in the banner ad in msn messenger! *update, they have now replaced the page with a new error page, but when i went i got this: Server Error in '/' Application. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off"/> </system.web> </configuration> Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL. <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web> </configuration>
  23. tried upgrading your dvd firmware? if that makes no difference try another movie player, BSplayer is **** good, FREE, loads of skins for it too.. its like the winamp of movie players, and has AC3 codec handling built in. has nice features such as creating custom aspect ratios, hotkeys, can display subtitles from a txt file etc. Also try older (or newer) vid drivers. how much RAM have you got? and is Windows managing your page file size, or did you set it yourself? try increase it... max size about 1.45 times the size of your total physical ram. eg, 512mb x 1.45 = 742.4mb max set minimum to same size as your ram. lastly... your dvd drive might be dying?
  24. and how about Jirc for chat?
