i mean the FCC number of the motherboard.. theres one on every bit of electrical hardware in there (or should be). its usually printed on the PCB. i just reread my post and i made out like it would be on the case itself. once you have the FCC number of your board you can put the number in google or go to the FCC website and search there. both should give the same result.

Drews correct, thats one of the typical problems encountered from doing an "upgrade" If you take the side of your case off and jot down the FCC number then you can go to the FCC site and find out where to get the proper drivers for your motherboard, same with any equipment that you might need drivers for. just because the board says "imperial" on it doesent mean it is made by them.. it might be made by Gigabyte or someone.. they just put their own logos and packaging on it. (you would be suprised how many modems are based on Rockwell chipsets.. almost all of them can use the same drivers)

who said i was making high end towers? your right tho.. i hate cheap and nasty hardware! no point in selling shoddy parts IMO even if they do sell.
-
neomods was going to be the name of my store but isnt now. msnwar... ill send one for your opinion, so long as your still in germany when i get some demo models finished
-
Having looked at this a bit more, what MSNwar said about manufacturing... i think i can do cases, i know people in the right places just by chance and good luck! i only need a few things and i can do a prototype case very soon, ill post pictures when i make one, that is... if it turns out right. infact, if it turns out right ill probably put my Pentium 3 in it and use it. ok.. so the P3 wont show it off much but ill put some decent hardware inside it to start with.

cant argue with that

speedz, if a mnate of mine broke my GPU by doing something like that when id told him not to id make him pay for a whole new card, never mind half of one. well.. unless i thought id get a much beter one then id only do like what your doing... anyway, if you get a ti 440, 420, or 460 im sure you will be very happy with it, mine hasnt let me down yet. i might get one of those thermal take fans for it though, the one i have on here rattled when i first plugged it in, the noise sounded very loud and i didnt want to run the card.. till i realised it wasnt the fan but the plate on top of the heatsink, which channels the air through all the fins. so i didnt want to take it off either... sheet of cardboard cut to shape... rather like a gasket solved the problem. These fans from Thermal Take look real nice though on a side note... dont you hate how graphics cards look real cool but you never see them as they are upside down? and heat rises too.. seems moronic to me!?

image at the top of this thread msnwar.. and rick. cant you see it? wait for it to load!

anyway, i thought you where already certified misskelli?!

see drew... you have contacts right here. as MSNwar suggested, sending anything other than small items to europe will defeat the cost, but i expect light objects that can be bought in bulk, packed together in a relativley small package, it will be well worth it your business wont be dealing with just me drew if you go ahead and do it, use your imagination!

@Rick, i say this time and time again it wont work!!!! when they started putting Cactus on CD's all that happened is a lot of people who bought the legit CD's found they wouldnt work in their CD player, never mind their computer. i think nattalie imbruglias CD was one of the first to use it and it got returned that much they withdrew it from stores! Another was Shakira "Laundry service" most copies of that have some variant of Cactus on them, now i see it in stores without the warning label saying it wont work in a PC... so i think same has happened there too. As for those people who downloaded the MP3s and burned them to CD they didnt have any of this trouble with it not working in their stereo! how easy was cactus to bypass? Easy ill tell you, take your CD, put it in a CD player (if you can find one that will play a Cactus protected CD that is) hook the CD players Earphone socket upto your sound cards mic socket, hit record. oh.. **** that was so difficult!!! (hardly DeCSS was it?) What record companies need to do is not restrict users who buy the legitimate product, as in the case of Cactus, but make it easier for them to get music, and harder for people to download music without paying. they should release some tracks, or parts of tracks for download, some artists do this now, i think Avril Lavignes album has about 4 songs you can download from her website, they are low quality and only half of the song, but it solves the problem i mentioned earlier of not nowing if the CD has a lot of junk on it. Record companies response is "buy the single then" but we all know that usually one song is from the album and the other 2 or 3 are junk or maybe even good or alternate versions, but dont give a proper impression of the album.. after all if they made the album out to be bad then they wouldnt sell them would they.. DOH.

that ownz rick, nice find!

i think that they have angered a lot of p2p users who would otherwise have ended up buying albums and in doing so just made them revolt against riaa by refusing to buy any more albums. Thats my stance anyway. theres no way im paying over the odds for a CD i know the company pays less than 20C for and maybe 20c packaging. Theres no way im paying for a CD with 10 crap songs on and 2 good songs on. theres no way im buying CD's and putting money into RIAAs pocket, why support someone you hate by giving them money, before you say otherwise... where do you think RIAA gets its money from...? RECORD COMPANIES. i rarely buy cds. when i do its by bands i know turn out good material, consistently, by artists that deserve the money, and 99% of the time AFTER ive downloaded some of the tracks from the internet first, to make sure im not blowing money on a pile of crud. im sick of these bands and artists that you have never heard of that release some junk pop songs they never even wrote, mean nothing to them, and they disapear in 3 months. TV shows like pop idol, fame academy, etc etc make me want to spew. Commercial, manufactured garbage bands can go back to packing cat toys at the local factory where they came from, they linger around like a bad smell till the record companies get as bored of them as we are, and as sick of their jumped up attitudes as we are then they dump them. why waste your cash on this rubbish.. ill never know. also.. how many of you out there tell friends about songs and artists and send them an mp3 over messenger.. or suggest they try it and grab it from a p2p application? ive done this so many times myself, artists wanting to become known in other countries should take note, ive told American friends about songs and artists they have never heard of plenty of times before, take kylie, i remember telling sedative about her erm.... nice videos long before she was known in the usa. and kylies videos are good.. .. .. so is her new calendar, all in see thru undies for 12 months... cant wait for jan 1st! hehe w00t

The graphics card comes into play before anything else that shows on screen, if you have a decent card with its own flashable bios you will see the Bios version and card make pop up before you motherboards bios info on screen. Well, now we know its not the monitor, your card is either damaged or locked into a setting too high for your monitor to handle, i would expectthe bios screens to still show at least as they are usually at very low res and refresh rates, so it is possibly damaged. What card is it?

Parents worried about the rise of violent video games which encourage gangster-style behaviour in kids, might be heartened by the steady growth of a new sector... Christian-themed games. Kids might not feel the same however. The antithesis of the 18-rated Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Christian games are growing in popularity - particularly in God-fearing America. Characters generally take on the role of an agnostic, searching for God. In one effort, called Jarod's Journey, players learn about Christianity as part of an adventure game, which they win by becoming an apostle. In Charlie Church Mouse, pictured, players act out 3D Bible stories. Another game, Ominous Horizons, makes you fight your demons not by blowing their heads off but by preaching and praying. It's miles away from the gun-toting sce- nes of today's blockbusters and is probably too religious for some... Which is why no Christian-themed games have yet been made into big console titles. They're sold through niche websites as PC efforts instead. But that's all expected to change soon, after £125million was made from the sector this year. God save us! create user acounts and set them to "limited users" IE not administrators... at least, if i remember right thats the easiest way to do it, i think its the same in win2k, but its a long time since i used it.

Vadislav, i take it you have never built a pc before and so you want to buy a ready built? There is the other option of just buying a tower, if you already have a monitor and keyboard etc. it works out cheaper then, i think Dell do that, just sell towers without the rest of the kit. Also you could build your own, dont worry it is very easy and theres plenty of guides on the net for this. if you already have the monitor and keyboard etc this is a very cheap way to get a new pc! you could build a pc that does what you are wanting it to do for just a few hundered $ i think. i know i could build one for about £200 that was a very good internet pc, but would still play some games if you wanted it to, but nothing "high end" As well as guides on the net theres also the comunity here to help!

Drews right, but it can happen. id suspect that its that or the graphics card. it might not be permanent, the graphics card might just be stuck in that res, taking it out and putting another in might solve the problem once you put they old card back in it could well be sent back to defaults as was posted earlier.
