very strange!! id recomend this though... go to Start > run > (type) msconfig > services > disable imapi Cd burning COM service. see how things work then. has anyone been using XP's built in Cd write function BTW? ive never used it, just wondered if its up to scratch, if it is you might stick to using that....

Maybe the boot part of the drive is damaged, i made discs a while ago that would only install to a point, it turned out in the end that my Cd burner was about to pack up, i just got a new one today and it burns XP CD's perfectly, from the same file i used before. try use a different Cd burner or borrow a disc off a friend

How do you install or burn items in this formatte?
FthrJACK replied to XPerties's topic in General Discussion
the game is obviously ripped, unzip everything and you can install it from the file, if you want it on disc then make an AUTORUN.inf file pointing to the installer file on the rip then burn the files to cd and it will run like a proper cd does -
umm pull the cover off the pc and read the crucial sticker on the RAM ? im sure you dont want to invalidate your warranty tho and u wont do that... Rick, you cant get MSNm to work? EH? have you got a hotmail account? are you on a network or connected to a router? have you got a firewall running? let me know, you should have MSNm working no problems... if not, its probably somthing to do with why BP-Ftp wont work too

Also try this, change the text to [b:d92d66c78d]Not Evil[/b:d92d66c78d] know who they are? lol the M$ developers names! strange, wonder why they did the volcano ones though?

yeah, sounds like video card trouble to me too, but try this.. right click on My computer > properties > Advanced > Performance (click on Settings button) > Advanced. now make sure that the Programs options are ticked in both instances, click on the Viual Effects tab, and make sure its ticked to "Let windows decide for me" if its already set like this (the default) you should upgrade you video card drivers, and then if it still wont work properly, try go to where ive just told you about, and instead of "let windows decide for me" under the visual effects tab, tick the "Adjust for best performance" tab and see if that helps.
