Internet Explorer 7 + all Cumulative Updates?
Happy-Dude replied to zaqxsw's topic in Application Add-Ons
Why not use just one of the pre-made IE7 + cumulative updates packages? The authors of those add-ons update them with every new patch cycle and are very dedicated !! Check 'em out: http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1737 --> OnePiece's Internet Explorer 7 True Addon w/updates http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1104 --> Internet Explorer 7 English w/Updates (v2.0.2) I personally use Onepiece's (I don't think there was anything of a major difference, it was just that MrNxDmX's add-on didn't work well with the tweaks I did). NOTE:: These add-ons haven't been updated for the October Patches. Hey, people are busy, so just sit back and give 'em some time . -
I believe this is official ... Microsoft Project codename "Windows 7" ... Will be called ... Windows 7 !! Different, yes. Perhaps a new tone from Vista and XP, and been a while since the 3.1x and NT numbering days. Let's make this "7" a lucky number now, shall we? http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/windowsv...-windows-7.aspx http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/?p=1639 Read more about Windows 7 from Engineering 7: http://blogs.msdn.com/e7/

NOTE:: No-one needs to be "added" to anything on Codeplex. That creating a codeplex account just means you're able to post bug reports on the Issue Tracker. Just saving you guys time in the future. W3bbo will probably overhaul the content on the xpize website to state this, as well as to adding a direct link to the forums. EDIT:: From the xpize site. In other words, W3bbo has been working on anolis, but he has been busy also. We're thinking to have a *more presentable* version by December (hopefully, earlier). Give him some time, as he is the only programmer working on the project. So far, it seems to be going smoothly !!

I believe this was a reported problem at RyanVM forums. Check out if people are having similar issues as you. If you got spare time, contact nuhi about the problem and ask if he could release a maintenance version/ investigate further.

Integrating the .net redists, .net SPs, DirectX, WMP11, IE7 etc.?
Happy-Dude replied to King Mustard's topic in nLite
.NET: http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6431 http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5657 WMP11: Look at http://www.boooggy.org/slipstreamer/ IE7: search around -
Hopefully, you have someone make an add-on for you or you have the file. I know what to do for logon, but not bootscreen (sorry bub). From what I know, nLite usually takes add-ons. Otherwise, I would just do it myself. **Let's say I wanted a logon screen from http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=927 or http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4237 ** I'll use Darkside. Download and extracted to the disks I386 directory. That's it Make sure they're nLite compatible. Some aren't, some are. nLite should give you a warning if it isn't recognized. If it isn't, see if you can do it manually.

Heya guys !! Just wondering, is the information to MSFN's Unattended Windows guides up-to-date ( http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/1/ )? I mean, the Latest Site Updates were made on 2006 (but xper has last edited stuff since the April of 2008). Might the guide be updated to accommodate to XP SP3, latest versions of DriverPacks and nLite and RVMi (and Booogy's slipstreamer), have a section on Office 07 slipstreaming (in addition to the new Office slipstreamer utility), and perhaps edit on some space-saver things (many threads appear now and then on obsolete and useless things things; I've found quite a few on the nLite forum alone)? Just wondering if the information/ content is current, that's all. It's still a great guide, nonetheless !! NOTE:: I also clicked on the W3C markup validation, and CSS turned out fine. Apparently, for XHTML, there are 17 errors. Should this be corrected as well?

Folders & Files to delete after nLited XP installation is done.
Happy-Dude replied to Azelza's topic in nLite
EDIT-- Ahh, I see. This is only for those who REALLY wish to strip their disks. Can you provide some more details and which removals are suited for the general users? Also, would removing any of these files cause an installation error? I know that write.exe is an actual app (and I don't wish to remove that), but I found that routemon.exe was just funny . ----------------------------------- Would information from the following be relevant to this? http://www.msfn.org/board/Windows-XP-SP3-s...up-t118781.html and http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/57/ -
