  2. Thanks for the tip !! Alright, RELEASE-es --> Release. And there's the full Alphabetized list !!
  3. Heya guys !! Well, right now, I've just finally made my .iso for my WinXP Pro !! Yayy. This is what I did: [first two are same] --Use nLite to copy source and slipstream SP3 --Use RVMi to slipstream post-updates + system file patches --Use boooggy's WMP11 slipstreamer AND finally:: use nLite to do everything else, as in a whole pack !! And ... IT WORKED !! Yayyy!! I'm uploading my lastsessions for those who are interested to see. It all turned out all right !! Now to just test it out .... Wish me luck -----------------------------------When I had the problems: EDIT:: More recent post: --nLite: integrate XPize via method described in here http://www.msfn.org/board/lofiversion/index.php/t97530.html --nLite: Remove components --use boooggy's WMP11 slipstreamer on source --nLite: integrate Internet Explorer 7 via OnePiece's Internet Explorer 7 True Addon with cosmetic pack AND integrate DriverMax backed-up drivers --nLite: integrate ALL OTHER ADD-ONs and select unattended + tweaks + options NOTE: This is my LAST step (before iso) AND it is where the error occurs most often My guess: something's wrong it an add-on. I dunno which ones, though ... Can anyone give me a hand here? Thanks a lot, guys. I really appreciate it !! -------------------------------------------------Original Post --lastsession outdated. Heya guys!! Alright, so I'm finally doing an nLite install. This is the method I'm using so far (in essence, I'm doing this http://www.msfn.org/board/What-order-works...-t119758.html): --nLite: Slipstream SP3 --RVMi: Slipstream update packs & UXtheme + HIVESYS.INF + TCPIP.SYS add-ons from http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2274 --Integrate XPize via http://www.msfn.org/board/lofiversion/index.php/t97530.html method --nLite: Remove components (will post my lastsession.inf file) This is when a --reference issue-- came up. Sorry, I didn't catch the error completely. However, after clicking okay, the slipstream went fine. nLite continues the use the pack, not saying that it was errored, incomplete, or anything of that sorts . So, I think it is a compressing issue (since it happened during that stage). Anyone care to help? Thanks guys, I really appreciate it !! LastSession.7z
  4. He meant that he currently has 3 DNS servers, and he wishes to install the third one in nLite. Thing is, and he's apparently right, nLite only allows for 2 DNS entries. Perhaps nuhi can add onto this in a future release ?
  5. EDIT-- I've been able to compile my reg tweaks (or at least most of them) from http://www.msfn.org/board/Help-understandi...gi-t121627.html . I'm posting up my registry file and .inf file for people to tweak and take a look at. I still don't know how to create the add-on () ... Check out http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=80905#80905 for a companion reading. -----------------------Original post Heya guys !! Well, I'm finally going to make an nLite install source !! Now, I have a bunch of registry tweaks that I wish to apply. Unfortunately, I don't know how to or where to start. Can I ask for assistance? I have some very specific tweaks I wish to apply, and I feel it would be best for these tweaks to be applied after all other integrations and removals: PLEASE: IF ANYTHING LOOKS FUNNY / QUESTIONABLE / OR NOT SECURE, please tell me and I will tell what I want and why I also included 2 registry tweaks (Dr. Web AV link checker for IE + flashpixoff tweak) for adding. I dunno how to add these, so help me out here :S !! For more info on the flashpixoff tweak, check out http://billpstudios.blogspot.com/2007/08/f...roday-fix.html . Folder Options: ClearType Tweak Use tweak from here: http://www.theeldergeek.com/activate_clear...come_screen.htm --> How is this different: Allows cleartype for current user AND on logon pages + all other future users Other registry tweaks: Got some tweaks from http://www.computerworld.com/action/articl...tsrc=hm_ts_head : Desktop Properties- Appearance Tab --> Effects Internet Explorer Options (only want these options): Firefox 3 Tweaks: **Make it as close as IE settings as possible. Mainly, just make redirect attempts up to like 2 Used some tweaks from: http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries ---If you see something that catches your eyes on security, please let me know and Annnd ... I think thats about it !! Can anyone help me here? Thanks for you time guys !! I really, really appreciate it !! Note: all other tweaks that I'm going to make are able to be done on nLite (services), so these are the only things I really need right now !! EDIT- Uploaded IE security zones images for tweaks EDIT 2- Gave some settings for Desktop appearance; Uploaded some registry tweaks (Dr. Web for IE) and flashpixoff.reg to cover a vulnerability (check out http://billpstudios.blogspot.com/2007/08/f...roday-fix.html)MergedRegTweaks.inf Internet_Explorer_Settings.7z
  6. niwradsoft, why don't you join our CodePlex page? The Codeplex page has areas for bug reports, management people, and discussion forums. Before the project is public, perhaps you can use that page to better communicate with us. Here: http://www.codeplex.com/ Let us know when you've joined and we'll gladly add you to the project people !!
  7. Thank you soooo much, johndoe74 !! I really, really appreciate it !! Thank you, thank you, thank you !!
  8. Thank you so very much for your add-ons :) !! I really admire your dedication ;) !!

  9. Well, the new architecture allows for something like this. Though, from what I understand, its not entirely the same thing. I believe that we will be checking for quality and compatibility if we were in charge of what gets into the program. I'm think that our current method is more beneficial. Not sure how the add-on architecture would work. Seems like a nice idea, but what will happen if the program breaks or stuff goes wrong (quality checking) ? Remember to post back !! EDIT:: [[yes, I was wrong]] Talked to W3bbo about it, check it out: (preliminary) --xpize and Vize are both distributions with their respective packages --after they're installed people can download and add other packages... assuming people want to distribute only the packages and not the software --people are free to make their own distributions (program + package), but I'm not sure how that work work if you installed two different ones on the same system --quality testing? I've got a VPC box and time and then there's public betas... all that

  18. Awesome, Damian666 !! If you would like in now, and if you would like to see our current progress, please join CodePlex. http://www.codeplex.com/ Make yourself an account, tell us what it is, and we'll invite you into the project peoples. There, you can check out our progress and such. Mostly, I've been compiling bug reports, W3bbo's been organizing the new website and gathering old source codes from XPero, and we've been talking about the new architecture. I don't believe that we've started the actual coding or making the new program yet, but we're organizing it and gathering info. So, in the coming weeks and months, we'll have a whole ton of things happening and such. Hey, you're from The Netherlands, correct? People speak Dutch there as the native language, correct? Let me use Google Translator to translate the above message, hopefully crossing the language barrier a bit -- [Translated] Awesome, Damian666! I've just looked over the thread and I realized some questions were answered ... From Zoom7000-- From ricktendo64-- From doomangel-- Does anyone know the status of these questions ... ? W3bbo, XPero? I can't really answer them ... Anyone? NOTE: If there is any language barrier for people, please make note of it; I realize a lot of users aren't natively English speaking. Please make note of it and I'll try to make the barrier easier to cross !!
  19. So, might I say that you're in, Damian666? If so, join our CodePlex group (create an account and tell us your name so we can get you in). Remember, you can always pull out and get your stuff out of the program if you want to.
  20. Guys, guys, it's fine. Calm down, don't start a "holy war" (so to speak) about this. It's fine, we'll just need to find other who are willing to contribute. Damian666, if you change your mind, be sure to let us know . As of now, we'll have to find others. Don't worry, it's fine. The project can continue without it. @doomangel: so your on the project team now, have you checked CodePlex and the project? Login and right under your name and the logout, look for Projects (and you'll see our code name for the next XPize/ Vize, not public yet.). The new website should be up soon. Stay tuned !!
  21. No, no, Damian666, I think you misinterpreted me. What I meant was that there is the possibility of contacting the respective developers/ authors of their packs and having their permission to incorporate it into the new XPize installer. That way, we can give users the choice to switch themes on demand. So, with the authors permission, we can incorporate packages based on the XPize/ Vize code onto our new code (like XPize Darkside, for example). If your Vista Pack is based on the XPize installer system, might I ask you (Damian666) if you're interested in incorporating it to the project? If not, I will be sure to double check the copyrights of the things we do incorporate !!
  22. UPDATE: W3bbo just informed me about his new extensible architecture (July 27). Basically, the idea is something that let's the user to choose which themes he/ she wants, and XPize will replace the resources with that package. Later on, if the person wants to switch, he/ she can launch XPize and choose another theme. That means there is a possibility of XPize Darkside and Vista pack to be in one package !! (But first, we need to contact the developers about this and how they feel and such.) Course, there will be a *Lite* function, giving the user mostly Visual Consistency over the extras. The new XPize website should be up soon. Look for it !! Also, please take note that we are working on the XPize code first. Afterwards, XPize should mature and Vize will come, and should be just as good (since experiences and problems from XPize should also exist for Vize; they are developed with similar codes, and the bugs should be corrected in both). Look for a preliminary release the coming months. So, what's up guys ?
