Hi Everyone! How do I remove the "do you want to Internet Explorer do be your default browser" from poping up? I searched the forum regarding this topic and I found this User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel] System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel] Check_If_Default - Prevent changes to default browser check So, you're supposed to set the values for that dword. There's only one problem. I don't have that kind of entries in my registry. I thought it had something to do with my computer so I checked the other one and neither that computer had that entry. My registry ends here: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\ [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\ Any ideas on how to solve this? Is there perhaps another way to prevent this popup from appearing? Thanks in advance! Marthax

Hey Guys! When my UA installation installs everything and it's finished, my windows shell is not transformed to the new Xpize theme. If I try shutting down the computer, I get the new "turn of computer with the new layout" but, the taskbar and all windows are not Xpized. All shortcut arrows are also Xpized. What's the problem here? Help. I install Xpize using the UaE file and the /S switch. Thanks in advance! Marthax

Classic Theme as default unwanted
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
It works now . Thanks once again! -
You sure you are using the right drivers? Try using this excellent SATA drivers guide created by raskren. It sure worked for me. Hope that helps, Marthax
-
It still won't work. I managed to make it start notepad++, then kill it and afterwards, register the file extensions but, it didn't help a thing. If I check the extensions in windows, it shows notepad as a *.txt reader. What should I do?
-
Exactly, that's what I mean. I didn't mean that it's faster than the XP, just that It's pretty close and besides, it's a 64 which means that a 1800 mhz is most certainly faster than a 32-bit running at 2200.
-
I had exactly the same problem with that. Use "%ProgramFiles%\Office\winword.exe" and "%UserProfile%\My Documents\my document with spaces.doc" and it should work.

remove Windows Update Tab @ My computer
Marthax replied to 2forza's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Don't know what file you're talking about but, here's all you need to know. This is what you should remove: Services: Autoupdate Hope that does it -
I tried using the notepad++ extensions and they didn't work. Notepad++ isn't associated in any way. What am I doing wrong? I tried importing the entries using both Xplode and the usual way.

remove Windows Update Tab @ My computer
Marthax replied to 2forza's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
If you don't use auto updates then remove it using nLite and the tab will disappear. At least, it works for me. -
If you got a network, try sharing the file to a computer with Win XP and let it delete the file.

hm.. Ok I'm gonna try this one out and let you know. Thanks Alanoll. -
That was the problem. I replaced an & with & and it works now. Thanks Wraith

oh, I must have forgot to type that down. My bad. It says only says "offending tag <registry>". "bad entity reference in text section".

Classic Theme as default unwanted
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
When I think of it..I've done this before. And the result was as you said. Does anyone know why this kind of problem occurs when a programs restarts the computer? -
I got the 2.7. I'm gonna try out the lastest one and let you know. Thanks. EDIT: It worked. Thanks Yzöwl
-
If I'd found a thread that covered this subject, I wouldn't have posted this thread. That switch doesn't work.

Classic Theme as default unwanted
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I use Xplode and yes, it restarts my computer several times. I have no choice but to let it restart because otherwise, my cleanup file won't remove everthing as some files will be "in use". -
Which network components needed for networking
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
ok, I managed to remove all except one. Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing. If I try removing this, my network stops working. Anyway to work around this? -
Hi Everyone! Does anyone know the silent switch for this program? Thanks in advance! Marthax

Classic Theme as default unwanted
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Ok but, I already tried that one out and it gave me an classic style anyway. I'm gonna try it out again and let you know. Thanks. -
Just create a batch file or run it from start---run and type the name of the program followed by the switch, in this case "/S", not /s (it's a big difference).
-
don't really understand your question. Do you mean that windows creates a user profile on your primary hdd and you don't want it to do this?
-
yeah, that's true except win 64 of course . And that on the other hand, can be pretty nice. I mean, to have 64 bit support when you to several things simulanously in windows. I agree with you SiMoNsAyS, that XP is so much cheaper. I also have a Athlon XP (2400+) and it's great and so cheap but, if you compare those systems that codejunkie was telling us about, 32-bit don't stand a chance in "combat" When it comes to P4, Athlon XP owns those CPU's.
