You can't. They are removed, deleted. The only way possible is to create a new UACD with a fresh I386 folder.

hehe, I agree totally. Go ID Software! Another thing that fascinates me in ROE is the science-fiction feeling, meaning that everything seems so "high-tech". I just love when you run through the rooms and you hear that lady telling you that the temperature and the oxygen levels are dropping. The whole mood is excellent. Throw in a bunch of hellknights, equip the sawed-off shotgun and the artifact, tune up the volume and you got yourself a war! Oh, I completely forgot about the artifact you got in D3. The soul cube, that's right. It's so nice to hear the angels say "Use Us" and after that, equip it and throw it away against a poor little creature.

The Athlon 64 is much better for handling multitasking meaning that if you do several things at the same time, Athlon 64 will win as it's 64-bit. Gaming performance is a completely another thing as the graphic card makes the big difference here. Athlon 64 isn't the best way to go when gaming but, since your CPU is at such a high speed compared to the Athlon XP I would most certainly choose 64. Of course, I assume that you already use XP 64-bit version which is needed to assure maximum performance.

Greetings Everyone! I've been testing to remove a lot of things with nLite in order to be able to remove as much as I can and at the same time have a fully functional computer that suits my needs, in this case connecting to the internet. I've been researching about all services that I remove so that I'm sure that I don't remove anything essential. However, as soon as I remove some services from the services section, obviously, my network refuses to work which means that I cannot connect to my other computer across the network. The services that I have removed are these: - Alerter - Application Layer Gateway - Autoupdate - Background Intelligent Transfer - Distributed Transaction Coordinator - DNS Client - Error Reporting - Fax Services - Imapi - Indexing Service - Messenger - Network DDE - QoS RSVP - Quality Of Service - Remote Registry - Removable Storage - Secondary Logon - System Restore - TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper - Telnet Server - Terminal Services - Uninterruptible Supply - Volume Shadow Copy - WebClient - Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing - Wireless Zero Configuration Also, to be able to get the network to work normally, I have to configure the Windows Firewall to accept this so I think that removing the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing service is causing my problem. What do you guys think? Anyone? Thanks in advance! Marthax

Classic Theme as default unwanted
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Now when I formatted my computer once again, the Luna theme is used . Does somebody know what could have caused this? -
Hi Guys! When my Windows installs, it has Classic theme enabled even though I specifically use DefaultThemesOff = No I haven't removed anything with nLite yet, so that can't be the problem. I want to use the Luna theme, not the Classic Theme. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Marthax

forgot to mention Red Alert 3 !

personally, the most awesome thing are the graphics ingame and the whole atmosphere as it makes the game like a horror movie and you're invited. ROE is even more funnier, especially now that you have the "Gravity Gun" which makes it so much easier to kill those Imps.

Hi everbody! When I try using Xplode to add a registry entry to windows registry it doesn't give any results. <execute display="Executing Registry Tweaks"> <registry mode="write"> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "DAEMON Tools-1033"=- "DiskeeperSystray"=- "NeroFilterCheck"=- "NVMixerTray"=- "NvMEdiaCenter"=- "nwiz"=- "NvCplDaemon"=- "CTHelper"=- "iTunesHelper"=- "QuickTime Task"=- "NvMcTray"=- "NvCpl"=- [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel] "{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}"=dword:00000000 "{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}"=dword:00000000 "{208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D}"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoRecentDocsMenu"=dword:00000001 </registry> </execute> The point with these registry entries is to remove all startup programs, but it doesn't work as they still start at windows logon. Can't seem to see what's wrong here. Anyone? Marthax

I think that San Andreas should be played on PC, definitely. Why? Because, Rockstar Games has turned GTA into a precision game pretty much which makes it frustrating and annoying to for instance, aim and shot those choppers down. If you want to buy San Andreas, the PC version is the way to go.

Best place to put registry tweaks?

Execute RunOnceEx. After that execute this line : rundll32.exe iernonce.dll,RunOnceExProcess This will cause RunOnceEx to run immediately without the need for restart. That should fix your problems. Marthax -
Consistent Problem Copying Files
Marthax replied to unit158's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
when booting from this UACD that you created, did you use the ISO file to boot from or did you burn it to a CD? What kind of ROM do you have? DVD? CD? what speed? -
Battlefield 2 & S.T.A.L.K.E.R

I belive "bor3d" said this in a topic called "Editing WINNTBBU.DLL For Dummies, The Complete Idiots Guide To Hacking WIN": I think that's pretty much self explaining. I've used this method several times and never had any problem.

Yes, that's true it was a bit short, but I love Doom 3 and the same goes for D3:ROE. Go Id Software!

thx for replying, but VB isn't an option for me as I don't know how to use it. Although, I did manage to solve this situation differently as the problem was a wrong syntax in the default Xplode *.xml file. I'll try to learn the VB language when I'll have some spare time as it seems to be a good and effective language. Thx again

ok, I'll may try that. thx

Hey you guys! When my GuiRunOnce runs at windows logon it starts Xplode that installs programs. The first program executes and it nearly reaches its' end when GuiRunOnce executes the next thing on the list. This means that Xplode and my next thing executes at once which is not what I want. How do I make GuiRunOnce wait for Xplode to end? I know that you could use /wait with RunOnceEx, but what do with GuiRunOnce? Thanks in advance! Marthax

Firefox Error after Formatting with UACD
Marthax replied to Marthax's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
not the core, but Internet Explorer. nLite doesn't warn me about IE itself just IE core. -
The second option worked thx once again!
-
ok, thx Alanoll I'm gonna try it out now. I'll let you know.

The funny thing is that "display.title" doesn't exist in my xml, but I'll just go right ahead and create it now that I know how to. Thanks genzo. EDIT : I used this: <display.title>Xplode Installation</display.title> That didn't help a thing as the title is still "#display.title#". Any ideas?
-
Greetings All! This may sound a bit stupid, but I can't seem to solve my problem on how to change the Xplode title. I have red the guide, but I can't seem to understand it. It says like this: How am I supposed to use this? I mean, how should I use this so that my title isn't "#display.title#"? Thanks in advance! Marthax
