  1. For a few days now, the forum has looked different to me... I finally realized something was missing from the forum index page... Why did the admins remove the Google Ads from the forum index page?
  2. The Software Hangout will do just fine!
  3. ROFL! I'll fix the topic title... Topic title edited.
  4. And that's why we don't have a Linux section (or because we got rid of it a LONG time ago)...
  5. I believe this is called the Microsoft Software Forum Network for a reason... A few of us already use Linux, but use Windows because it is a lot easier to handle if you know what you're doing... I'm not much a fan of Linux (but I use it anyway), because of the command line...
  6. Happy b'day!
  7. No problem! I'll discuss it with the admins!
  8. Don't do that! We don't support that at MSFN!
  9. I thought people didn't do that anymore...
  10. Interesting... Might as well add my site... But the Internet at school is so **** SLOW!
  11. Windows Classic (Windows 2000) and Windows XP Style! These are visual styles!
  12. No one ever looks before posting... http://flyakite.msfnhosting.com/
  13. Search button?
  14. Same thing... I get a page full of code...
  15. ROFL! Make sure to disable the Hotmail spam filter!
  16. Sign up for a free e-mail account and post your e-mail everywhere?
  17. A common misconception, linksys cards do not have any cisco chips in them. All they do is put there name on the box. OK, my WMP11 card is version 4, meaning it switched to another Chipset (not Prism2). Is there any way to set it up as a Host AP in Windows? It uses the InProComm chipset...
  18. Is it possible to set up an access point through Windows instead? I tried using m0n0wall (bootable Linux distro), but then found out it didn't work because my card wasn't compatible... Hold on a second... FreeBSD supports Cisco cards, and Linksys is owned by Cisco now, so wouldn't they have the same drivers?
  19. Dunno, but I have a WMP11 card from Linksys, and some people say it won't work properly with Linux... But maybe FreeBSD might do! I'll check this out tomorrow, but no dual-booting on this PC! Edit: Just checked the FreeBSD website, and it looks like it doesn't support my wireless card... Where can I find the driver?
  20. I know this is possible because I saw it on TechTV... I have a Linksys 802.11b PCI card for one of my spare computers. I would like to make this into a wireless access point. I have the wired NIC in there as well as the wireless NIC. Now, what Linux distro can I use (preferably running off a CD or something and that's small) to make this computer an access point?
  21. I know that this special is for new members, but how about for existing members? My account at eMax Hosting was supposed to expire tomorrow, but I renewed it... Is there anything that eMax can do towards this so that MSFN gets half of the profits?
  22. Go to user accounts, click on your username, choose manage network passwords on the left, and clear the e-mails you don't want!
  23. I think he means in his posts... HTML is disabled on this board for security reasons!
  24. You've got to be kidding me! 19 bids!?
