  1. Hi everyone! For the last several weeks I’ve been getting the annoying pop-up "Local Area Connection A network cable is unplugged" on the right side of my task bar. I mean it was constantly popping up and then going away. I searched the web for answers and made several calls to Verizon. I use their MSN Premium browser. It’s their version of IE. We did all sorts of things but none of them helped. Then I found Microsoft Article ID : 910389 at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910389 . I followed their instructions for changing the value that was set for the Media Type property on the network adapter. I tried 100Mbps Full Duplex but that didn’t work for me. When I changed it to 10Mbps Full Duplex – Bingo! No more annoying pop-ups! I don’t know which setting will work for you (if any) but it worked for me and it’s worth giving it a try (unless of course, you like constant pop-ups on your screen). I wanted to make this a sticky but I don’t know how.
  2. Whether creating a new Word XP document or inserting text/graphics into that document from the Web, I cannot view the whole document in one window. To read the document I either have to a) Use the horizontal scroll bar - Which is a big pain, or Use the Zoom to reduce the size and (sic) get out my magnifying glass so that I can read it. I must have some wrong settings as I can't imagine MS creating a program that is that user unfriendly
  3. Are there specific software program related forums (e.g. Word, Excell, Outlook Express, etc.) or do I have to go through all the posts to find the posts on the program that I'm interested in??? Thanks!!
