  1. I know!! Just trying to see if I could fool anyone!
  2. My bad... I was in the middle of taking a screenshot, so I guess it just slipped my mind... You know what I meant!
  3. OMG! Another one! http://msfn.astromike.com I knew that modrica link looked familiar...
  4. I'm not sure though, but the systems administrator at my school said you can boot into a Linux distro and actually delete the SAM file, since it will be recreated when you log back into Windows as Administrator... Can anyone confirm this?
  5. Hardware firewalls are by far the best, and Norton Anti-Virus Corporate is probably a pretty **** good AV!
  6. Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Customize > Date
  7. Disconnect from the Internet, put up a firewall, go back on, and scan.
  8. But all my contacts were still there... I just received this:
  9. Just a few minutes ago, I was logging into MSN Messenger and got a message saying there was a problem with a passport and to press OK to continue. It brought me to the .NET Passport page (yes, an authentic one) and asked me to verify my e-mail address. I verified it and everything went back to normal. All my groups and contacts were still there, so no problem. What I found strange is that I verified my e-mail address a really long time ago. Did this happen to anyone else and does anyone know why this might have happened?
  10. You might want to run an AV scanner just to be sure... Also, disable system restore when you run your AV!
  11. No... This is just lame! I just found it strange that 9q0.com came up on my list of domains that I was going to choose to buy...
  12. ROFL!
  13. I only click "Yes" if I'm on an actual Microsoft website, like http://www.microsoft.com, http://windowsbeta.microsoft.com, https://beta.microsoft.com, etc...
  14. I just went to Google Images and they have a few! Do a search for "server dust" without the quotes...
  15. lol I fixed the type-o, but what's wrong with what I said? I'm serious!
  16. I tried it out and immediately switched back to the Slate visual style. I don't like it that much. You can hardly read blue text on a black background in some folders...
  17. When you signed up for the XP SP2 beta, didn't they supply you with a Product Key? That build may not be a good one, yet.
  18. Have you used an AV scanner, or Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy, or anything like that other than what you got the log file from?
  19. Seems alright to me... Got 32-bit colour working in Virtual PC! Its just a bit slow during and after start up... After that, everything's OK!
  20. Copied this from http://nextl3vel.net/articles.php?action=show&showarticle=20 and it DOES work (I just edited it a bit)... I just tried it out! You MUST install Virtual Machine Additions! (You know what, I'm not even sure anymore... Just install it to be safe! If you don't install it and it works, please let me know!) 1. Right-click on the desktop and click Properties. 2. Click the “Settings” tab. 3. Click the “Advanced” button. 4. In the “Default Monitor on Standard VGA Adapter” window, click the “Adapter” tab. 5. Click “Properties”. 6. In the “Standard VGA Adapter” window, click the “Driver” tab. 7. Click “Update Driver” 8. In the “Hardware Update Wizard” window, select “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)”, and press the Next button. 9. Click “Don’t Search. I will choose the driver to install”, and press the Next button. 10. Uncheck “Show Compatible Hardware”. 11. To the Left, select “%S3%” (something that has S3 in it) 12. On the right, choose the driver labeled “S3 ProSavageDDR 8D04 (Microsoft Corporation)”. 13. Click OK and ignore any warning messages that may appear. 14. Once Windows has told you that the driver has been installed, restart the Virtual PC by going to Start, Turn off Computer, and then clicking Restart. 15. Once the Virtual PC is restarted, you should have full color in Longhorn under Virtual PC. You may now logon and customize the resolution. Good luck!
  21. Never used it and never heard of it... Can you provide us with a link?
  22. **** it! Everyone's beating me to everything today! That utility works great. Be sure to CLEAR or BLANK the password using this or else it will corrupt the SAM file. Trust me on this one, I have used it many times on one of my machines (to see how it worked). Blanking then logging into Windows and resetting the password using the "User Accounts" option in Windows XP works best!
  23. Yeah, NetStumbler works EXTREMELY well... Mike-C beat me to it! However, if the SSID is not being broadcasted, NetStumbler will NOT pick it up and you will not be able to connect to it. This program only picks up Wi-Fi networks and does not connect to them. Overall, this program is great. I have it installed on my laptop and use it whenever I am on the road. However, I must say, there are many people who do not have WEP setup I would have been able to connect to any one of the networks I detected. Approximately 66% of all Wi-Fi networks found are unencrypted.
  24. Some of those are HUGE!
