mikep56, after thinking about it a few minutes, I think you booted the floppy. If you have a disk in your floppy, remove it and try again. Enjoy, John.
-
mikep56, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Make sure you run nLite only once against the same source and integrate only one SP. I would suggest that you try using nLite to burn your CD. Have you considered a virtual system (VirtualPC, VirtualBox, VMware Server - all free). It seems to be the best way to get past these startup problems and prevent many coasters. Enjoy, John.

Kels, I did a Google on Panagon Filenet IDM 4.0.0 and found free DLs but you will need to register. I noticed in his log that there are no switches on his install. Perhaps he needs to run USSF and/or find a NoRestart switch somewhere. Enjoy, John.

sweetslotz, please post answers to the questions I asked in my previous post and absolutely tell us what you are doing differently now that seems to work. Thanks, John.
-
sweetslotz, I see no attach ISO. It should be 500 or 600 MB, and the forum would not let you attach it. How big is your's - ISO that is. Enjoy, John. EDIT: Please post the full name of the SP you are using. Thanks, John.
-
SirHaschke, please attach your log file. It is found at C:\. Thanks, John.

CyberPro CW, 9 copies of XP on one CD? One copy is about 80% of a CD. Can you Explore the CD with Windows Explorer? Just load the CD, then right click the CD icon in My Computer and click Explore. Do a Print Screen and post the image here. Thanks, John.

MacNala, I doubt seriously you have found a bug in nLite. None of the updates you mention in your last post are in your Last Session.ini except the one you had an error on. You said it was in the latest MS updates yet it is the first in your hot fix list. Perhaps it is dependent on an earlier fix. For sure you will not be able to to use the Malicious Removal Tool via nLite and I don't know about the Genuine Advantage Validation Tool. I also don't see Service Pack Integration in your Last Session. If you can get your hot fixes lined up properly and run nLite (do all your work in one session) without any error messages, perhaps you will get an ISO out of the deal. John. Edit" Sorry, iamtheky - my BAD. John

sweetslotz, there is no "Create a Bootable ISO" task in your Last Session.ini. NLite will not create an ISO unless you select this and create an ISO - don't think you have ever created one. Please, please see my last post. Enjoy, John.
-
MacNala, no wonder I could not find it. Your Last Session.ini tags it with SP3. You should use hot fixes ONLY post SP3. NLite is rejecting it because it is already in the source due to slipstreaming SP3. None of your hot fixes should be prior to SP3. Enjoy, John.
-
sweetslotz,Last Session.ini is placed into your source folder after nLite runs (unless you disabled this option in nLite). Please attach it. See Browse and UPLOAD buttons below your reply window. What is the size of the ISO nLite built? This is the file you should extract with 7-Zip not what's on the CD. Perhaps your burner is not working. When you create an ISO with nLite, select Bootable ISO, the Mode should be Create Image, then click on Make ISO. NLite will ask you for a destination file. Enjoy, John.

Nox71, I am curious why you have WPI in D:\$OEM$\$1\? Normally it is just D:\WPI. Enjoy, John.
-
TranceEnergy, I am curious how you change the Program Files names for both (x86 and 64 bit) in nLite for x64. I see only one - Program Files. Thanks, John.
-
MacNala, sorry I know nothing about AutoStreamer. I suggest you start with the original CD, run nLite only one time slipstreaming SP3 and integrating your other changes and hot fixes. I suspect some incompatibility with AutoStreamer. Enjoy, John. EDIT: Please provide a link to the KB952069 DL. I have looked and cannot find it. Thanks, John.
-
sweetslotz, have you tried a virtual system (VirtualPC, VirtualBox, VMware Server - all free) with your ISO file? Have you tried letting nLite write and verify your CD? Have you tried a slower write speed? You might try extracting the ISO with 7-Zip (or what ever you prefer) to see what is in it. Please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.

Kingbeezz, you definitely want to apply SP3 first, then add only the post SP3 hot fixes. Always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. Enjoy, John.
-
MacNala, you need to tell us more about your CD. What is slipstreamed into it and by what process? And please answer the question - can you get the original unaltered CD? Enjoy, John.
-
Kingbeezz, perhaps the Update Pack would be the best route for you if you can find one in Dutch. I don't use Update Packs, so I know little about them. It looks like you have included updates to IE7 but not IE7 itself. It is not in SP3 and needs to be included before any updates to it. I am confused by the hot fixes for ie6 and oe6 and all the hot fixes with W2000 in them. I counted over 150 hot fixes, and I don't think there are near that many after SP3. Good luck, John.
-
MacNala, that can't be your Last Session.ini because it shows no hot fixes. I suspect the slipstreamed CD you are using. Can you get the original CD files/folders and do all your work in one nLite session? Enjoy, John.

DarthNihilius, please attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini and make sure you are not running nLite more than once against the same source. Always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders, do all your work in one nLite session and integrate only one SP. After Setup copies your text mode drivers, it should show your drives and ask you to select the drive/partition you want to use to install. If you did not get this far, then perhaps it did not see your drives. Do you have SATA, SCSI or RAID drives? If so you need to include text mode drivers via nLite. I suggest you first try testing your ISO under a virtual system such as VirtualPC, Virtual Box or VMware Server - all free. Enjoy, John.

artofme, I have never heard of MS Virtual Machine 2k7, but MS offers VirtualPC which is free. VirtualBox is from Sun. VMware Server is also free but huge (almost 600 MB). I use VMware Server because I am running XP x64 and at the time it was the only free one I could find that supported it as a host and guest - understand VirtualBox now supports x64, but have not tried it. I have not used the other two I know about, but I understand they are rather small (around 35-40 MB). Do some searching on VirtualBox and VirtualPC and see what you find. Enjoy, John.

mattjaf, I ran some experiments with nLite and it copies the .OEM file into the folder when you just select the .inf. In fact, it copies it into all the folders. I assume your BIOS is set to enable your HDD? Are you running a RAID? if so, have you configured it? I am really out of suggestions since I can't test due to lack of hardware. Good luck, John.
-
tehMati, please see this about $OEM$ folder use. Enjoy, John.

morgrym, I suggest you look into Windows Post Install (WPI) - couple of forums below nLite. Kels also has a Cleanup.exe utility that cleans all shortcuts from the DT. From WPI you can run your own scripts or batch files to do all you want. Here is the script I use to clean shortcuts. You could adapt it to a batch file or whatever. Works great for me. I also use AutoIt to create scripts (free - see Google) Enjoy, John. Kingbeezz, your _u.ini did not have any really private info. Mine has the key, my computer name and user accounts. Please attach only your latest Last Session.ini. It will be found in your source folder after you run nLite. Enjoy, John.
