  1. If you launch RunOnceEx.cmd from cmdlines.txt it will run BEFORE the stuff at GuiRunOnce under Winnt.sif. However, we tend to think that both of them are running at the same time. Keep in mind that the RunOnceEx process need a reboot before starting... if you don't want to wait for the next reboot, just add this line at the bottom of your RunOnceEx.cmd so it will start immediatly: rundll32.exe iernonce.dll,RunOnceExProcess
  2. This is the folders I keep under my i386 directory: SYSTEM32 DRW COMPDATA ASMS svcpack
  3. That's what I do under a WMware simulation!
  4. I tried to /integrate: KB867282 and I don't get any error message but it doesn't do anything
  5. @beppemito - Yes, you can delete KB834707 @Everyone - I have the exact same problem with KB867282 and KB885250 on a French Distribution I guess we'll have to add this one manually in our CD... they seems to work fine with the /q /n /z switches
  6. Hummm... Winnt.sif is the filename if you want to use it on a CD or DVD media. I think you should leave the name to Unattended.txt if you want to use on a network share. Also, the $OEM$ folder goes inside your i386 folder, not parallel
  7. Microsoft will support SP1 until SP3 come out
  8. I've started a poll regarding WinXP SP1 Hotfixes. Please vote HERE
  9. Well, it's been a while since SP2 was released this summer... do you still need an accurate SP1 critical update list?
  10. Simulation done for Windows 2000 SP4 *** NEW *** KB867282 KB891781 KB885250 KB888113 KB890047 KB873333 KB885492 (For Media Player 9) Take note that KB889293 and KB819639 are no longer required.
  11. @honda200 - Interesting! I'll see if this is working for me @Alanoll - The point is that using setupmgr.exe NEVER worked for the French Canadian Layout. This is what I am currently using: EDIT: just like big_gie AllUsers.reg ; Pays = Canada [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International] "iCountry"="2" "iCurrDigits"="2" "iCurrency"="3" "iDate"="2" "iDigits"="2" "iLZero"="1" "iMeasure"="0" "iNegCurr"="15" "iTime"="1" "iTLZero"="1" "Locale"="00000C0C" "s1159"="" "s2359"="" "sCountry"="Canada" "sCurrency"="$" "sDate"="-" "sDecimal"="," "sLanguage"="FRC" "sList"=";" "sLongDate"="d MMMM yyyy" "sShortDate"="yyyy-MM-dd" "sThousand"=" " "sTime"=":" "sTimeFormat"="HH:mm:ss" "iTimePrefix"="0" "sMonDecimalSep"="," "sMonThousandSep"=" " "iNegNumber"="1" "sNativeDigits"="0123456789" "NumShape"="1" "iCalendarType"="1" "iFirstDayOfWeek"="6" "iFirstWeekOfYear"="0" "sGrouping"="3;0" "sMonGrouping"="3;0" "sPositiveSign"="" "sNegativeSign"="-" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\Geo] "Nation"="39" ; Clavier canadien-francais [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\IMEtoggle] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\IMEtoggle\scancode] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Preload] "1"="00000c0c" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Profile] "B0A57A8"=hex:00,27,89,e5,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,4f,\ e6,28,04,a9,57,0a,0b "22983098"=hex:60,8a,14,6d,b2,ab,b2,2d,cb,fb,9a,22 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Substitutes] "00000c0c"="00001009" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Toggle] "Hotkey"="1" "Language Hotkey"="1" "Layout Hotkey"="2" ; Clavier Canadien Francais [-HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload] [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload] "1"="00000c0c" [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Preload] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Keyboard Layout\Preload] "1"="00000c0c"
  12. Yeah, thanks! I've downloaded your attachment but I usually provide a link where people can change the language like this one: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en Your link is a direct file download... EDIT: Anyway, it is working now
  13. I can't get my hand on the download link for: KB890047 KB888113 KB885250 KB867282
  14. What a NightMare! Here is the Results for Windows XP SP2 *** NEW *** KB888302 KB890047 KB885250 KB891781 KB867282 KB888113 KB873333 Take note that KB834707 is no longer necessary and that KB890830 (removal tool) has evolved to a February Edition...
  15. I am currently running the Windows XP SP2 simulation... ... I'll be back in a few minutes...
  16. you'll need an utility such as CDSHELL or EasyBoot to do so.
  17. I don't think so... I cannot install MAC OS X directly on my PC since it require special hardware. I know it can be done under simulation but you still need a Windows or Linux system underneath... And the whole debate stays, yes Photoshop will work but not my games and GigaStudio.
  18. I cannot say I embrace all Microsoft products but I dig! I'm really sick and tired of hearing some of my technician complaining about Microsoft products. I will dig into Linux someday but for now there is this list of thing holding me back: 1- To many Distributions!!! Which one do you choose? How do a corporate choose? 2- To many packages! Which one do you install 4Go of stuff on each distribution, that's way to much 3- Too many changes! Kernel, Device drivers, applications, etc. 4- Harder to learn for the average user 5- How can I live without Photoshop, GigaStudio, + MY GAMES!!! Phew... that felt good! Keep in mind that if Linux had 90% of the market, we would find a LOT of flaws and Security Problems probably even greater than what we have in Microsoft OS.
  19. Crap! I should read the new guide! I never used this switch but I never had your problem. Maybe this is caused by the fact you don't have your display drivers installed
  20. Please post your WINNT.SIF and tell us if you want to autoformat the whole drive, contert to NTFS or something else...
  21. I never seen the AutoConfirm option under [Display] but here is my working configuration: [Display] BitsPerPel=32 Xresolution=1024 YResolution=768 Vrefresh=75
  22. Of course you can do that!
  23. I don't want to be rude but this is your first post and you've already broke 2 rules: 1- Rule no.12 Topic Title 2- You should post this question in the right forum = Applications Switches
