  1. Thanks a million times! I am using a file difference viewer and I can see all my mistakes! This will improve my english ability as well... If you ever need a French translation, just let me know!
  2. Where the streets have no names, U2 Sweet Child O' Mine, GUNS N' ROSES Hysteria, DEF LEPPARD Crazy Train, OZZY OSBOURNE The Final Countdown, EUROPE Why is this topic in the Funny Farm?
  3. This is the line you must add if you want to run your office Unattended like: SETUP.EXE TRANSFORMS=C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\install\Applications\OfficeXP\Unattended.MST /qb- If you want to burn office to a standalone CD, you would do it like that: SETUP.EXE TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb-
  4. This ain't your first post! I see your post count at 3! Anyway, it is a good thing you found all the stuff by yourself. Congratulation!
  5. I don't think so, in my first attempt at Unattended Installations I wasn't cleaning the hard drive at first. I had to manually delete the folder on the system drive and those files weren't there...
  6. No, it doesn't get copied. It is a place holder for stuff like cmdlines.txt and others...
  7. Still no reply... unfortunatly I'm running out of time... I have to do this tonight
  8. Hummm... I've been searching the net and also tried the provided links but I always get end up on a dead page... did someone actually got a working link?
  9. Hello again, I have sucessfully installed the VPN service on a Windows 2003 Server at a remote location. Then Using my Windows XP computer, I am able to connect without problem and having access to the network ressources. My question is the following: Can I install a new computer and log a new user through the VPN? Here are the steps I have planned: 1- Unattended Installation on the Notebook client 2- Logged as the local admin, I can create the VPN connection and integrate the computer in the domain. 3- Now how can I log into the new user account (and the domain admin account)? I mean that if I am logging of as the local admin, the VPN connection will be lost? no? Any help appreciated
  10. Yes but this one is the most interesting! And again, one more post to my count
  11. Guess what? I found it!!! In order to make it work, SETUPLDR.BIN must be Hex Edited to replace: 3 occurences of i386 and 1 occurence of I386 THE MULTI-BOOT GUIDE SHOULD BE UPDATED!!! BTW, this is a French Version so I don't know if it is the same with an English version...
  12. Thanks again Bart! Here is page 6, 7 & 8 (one of the two longest pages...)
  13. The last entry of your RunOnceEx.cmd should be the Shutdown/Reboot command. Otherwise, you have an application which is causing the Shutdown somewhere... bad switch?
  14. Running it from cmdlines.txt will allow you to apply this tweak to AllUsers, instead of the current loged user... EDIT: yes! 1 more post
  15. One interesting thing I just discovered: If I use EasyBoot to HexEdit setupldr.bin of Windows XP, I will be informed that 4 occurence are replaced (for i386) BUT if I do the same on Windows 2003 Server, I will be informed that 3 occurence are replaced (for i386) but ALSO 1 occurence will be replaced if I try I386 Could it be the only missing thing? EDIT: I have to go to sleep but I will try tomorrow...
  16. Come on prathapml, you know me better than that! 1- Yes I followed the guide and got my boot folder 2- I edited (with EasyBoot) w2ksect.bin (boot sector provided with EasyBoot) and changed 1 occurence of I386 to S03A 3- I edited (with EasyBoot) setupldr.bin in my boot folder S03A and changed 3 occurence of i386 to S03A (not 4) 4- I put my WINNT.SIF inside this boot folder Everything works fine but the winnt.sif never kicks in. I can install manually without problem from this boot folder. So, unless I put my winnt.sif inside the i386 folder, it won't go unattended. BTW, this is the exact same method I am using for Win2K and WinXP and they both work flawlessly
  17. I agree. VMware can save you a lot of time compared to Virtual PC
  18. If you go to the RegTweak sticky, there is a TXT file to download which contain all of them in the correct format.
  19. First off, congratulation for using the SEARCH function and posting into an already existing thread. I never fully solved this matter. I have a Windows XP SP2 installation which is Multi-Boot and I have 3 different WINNT.SIF inside each boot folders. I wanted to do the same with W2K Server 2003 but my WINNT.SIF never kicks in inside my boot folder. I have to put the WINNT.SIF inside my i386 folder and therefore I cannot have multiple choices...
  20. Ok, I don't want to spoil the end but I'll give you a hint: It is a registry tweak you are looking for... Yes! One more post to my count!
