  1. For Windows 2000 SP4, I am manually adding them to svcpack.inf For Windows XP SP2, I am using the /integrate: option...
  2. Well. The Microsoft ISO Mounting Tool (VirtualCD) is close to that... you can load the driver from any location you want and you can unload the driver after you are done. But you cannot pass any command line or argument...
  3. Hi, I am looking for a simple ISO mounting tool that doesn't require any installation. I want to use such tool on my Unattended CD-ROM so I can mount ISO images of various software on a network share... Any suggestion?
  4. huh? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yesterday around that time, the server wasn't always responding, I got several non-resolved pages. And when I answered this thread, it wasn't transfered at the top of the list... Strange
  5. I think you need a reboot before installing KB814078 and KB823353...otherwise the RunOnceEx process is hangging (IE6 installation) so yes; a RunOnceEx.cmd or a batch file launched from [GuiRunOnce] in WINNT.SIF should do the job.
  6. It was suggested to keep them in the order they are integrated in your svcpack.inf but you can also use the Windows Defrag utility so the files are stored sequentially on your hard drive...
  7. Cool new features! Thanks for letting us know!
  8. *** What the heck is happening on the MSFN server? ***
  9. It can be installed via svcpack.inf if you use this exact syntax: "KB832483.exe /C:""dahotfix.exe /q /n"" /q:a"
  10. No, it is not correct. If you want to import some registry setting, you cannot do it from svcpack.inf, you should call a .reg file from cmdlines.txt at the root of your $OEM$ folder. Follow the official guide http://unattended.msfn.org/
  11. Follow the Hotfixes Thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=31886 Theses hotfixes should not be installed via svcpack.inf, they are messing up the process...
  12. Thanks for the comment. If a Hotfixe become obsolete, you would have to use the /desintegrate: switch... No, no, just kidding! You would have to manually remove the KBxxxxxx.exe from the svcpack folder along with the .cat file. Then you would remove the proper entry about those 2 files in your svcpack.inf file...
  13. Bad thing... competition is always a good thing for customers! Adobe Creative Suite MX2005 anyone?
  14. If you want to launch a Compiled batch file, you must do it from the GuiRunOnce from your winnt.sif file: [GuiRunOnce] %systemdrive%\stuff.exe
  15. Is the same error happening with VMware? Also, I suggest you only use the BOOT folder from GOSH's method. You should use a genuine i386 folder instead of the one generated by his method... For example, you cannot /integrate: any hotfixes in a GOSH's i386 distribution folder...
  16. well... I would suggest two thing: 1- rename the administrator account to something else... safer 2- put a password on this account... one with a certain complexity level The rest is up to your network infrastructure and settings (router, firewall, etc.) I should point out that once longhorn is available, a regular user account should be used for everyday use and if you want to execute some installation and configuration task, you will be prompted for an administrator password.
  17. Yes, the licence seems different but there is a few MB in difference between the 2 version... so there must be something else. I've seen somewhere a compatibility with another tool or script...
  18. Hello, I was just wondering what is the difference between the 2 versions you can download for PDFCreator? http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...lease_id=228013 PDFCreator-0_8_0_AFPLGhostscript.exe or PDFCreator-0_8_0_GNUGhostscript.exe
  19. You could also use the feature "Generate Short Leadout" of Nero Burning Rom allowing you to burn about 715MB of data to a 700MB media without overbuning in Disc-at-Once mode... this is working great for me without any issues for many month now
  20. I am currently downloading the "new" release of Windows XP Pro without Windows Media Player from the http://licensing.microsoft.com website. I was just wondering if someone has tried this one since there is a 20MB difference between the regular version and this one... and I am installing Windows Media Player 10 anyway...
  21. Yes! it works! but I need a reboot to make it effective...
  22. Thank's, I'll try this one for sure!
  23. Are you certain you can delete them? SVCPACK.INF is calling them during the Installation process... I don't think it can work without them
  24. hmmm... This is a good thing for a new Windows Installation but most of the time, I am Installing Unattended Applications for older computer from a file server and this warning is blocking the process...
